Q: sinus infection symptoms or something else?
I have no cold symptoms and have not had a cold in a very very long time. However, I have a numbness and painful sensation on the left side of the bridge of my nose and it is slightly swollen in appearance. I have gotten a headache three nights in a row, but it goes away in the daytime. Any clues?
A: sounds like it may be sinuses, probably more notacable after the dew falls. try benadrel
Q: Beer and sinus symptoms?
I know what a hangover is, and this is something completely different. I drink plenty of water and have a more than healthy diet. I take precautions before a night out and these headaches are different from the usual throbbing headaches produced from an evening of partying. They seem to be directly sinus related, which is a dull, congested type of pain behind my forehead and nose. Sometimes I will drink just a few beers and wake up early with these symptoms. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if I am possibly allergic to some specific ingredient? Trust me, I know what a hangover is and this is very different and specific.
A: Get checked for grain allergies.
I cannot drink cheap beers, I am allergic to most grains. for the most part, I don’t drink beer at all, I drink wine because of that.

therbal and natural remedies.
Below are a few to consider:
a) Ground Ivy: The leaves of this sinus infection herb can dry out the bronchi and sinuses when used in an infusion or tincture.
b) Goldenseal: The root of the goldenseal plant is a powerful astringent and coolant, which comes in a powder capsule form. Take one or two 200 mg capsules or create a tincture, where 1 ml is taken for three times per day.
c) Bayberry: Bayberry bark is known to stimulate the circulatory system and also possesses warming properties that helps with nasal discharge, pain, and sinus tenderness. The powder can be used as snuff, or used to create a tincture. Add 5ml of tincture to 20ml of emulsifying ointment to make a substance that can be used for sinus massage.
d) Long Pepper: It is the fruit of this herb that is useful in treating sinus headaches and infection brought on by allergies. You may use the fruit to create a milk infusion or choose the capsule form (1-2 200mg powder capsule per dose).
e) Colloidal Silver: Sinus infections respond to this safe and non-toxic approach that has been known to treat more than 500 illnesses caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
f) Apple Cider Vinegar: An apple cider vinegar sinus infection treatment can be used to thin out mucous. You should add the vinegar to large glasses of water and drink throughout the day.
g) Oregano: The wild oil of oregano can be used as an effective sinus infection treatment that possesses powerful anti-bacterial properties. The capsule form is considered best when taking two every 3-4 hours
h) Do saltwater nasal irrigation to clear nasal passages. Hot foot baths and alternating hot and cold compresses over the sinuses help symptoms. If you smoke, seek help to stop. Avoid exposure to secondhand smoke and excessively cold or dry air.
i) To improve breathing and fight infections, inhale steamed vapors of the essential oils of camphor, eucalyptus, lavender, lemon, pine, or tea tree.
j) Useful herbs for sinusitis include Echinacea, elder flowers, eyebright, goldenrod, goldenseal, stinging nettle, wild indigo, and yarrow.
Q: How to relieve symptoms of a sinus infection?
I have snot coming out of every hole in my face and my head feels groggy, and im coughing as well.
What can i do to help this along?
A: You should try to get an antibiotic from a doctor – it will knock it right out.
I get chronic sinus infections… I can’t afford antibiotics constantly, so I take Aleve Cold and Sinus. It is a WONDER drug and it helps me so much. It doesn’t get rid of the congestion all of the time, but it works great with my headaches and helps me breathe a little better.
Other than that, heat will work well. Drink hot drinks, eat soup, take a long bath or hot shower, or sit in the steam for a while. Or keep a hot compress to your head. Even sitting under a heat lamp (like at a tanning bed) will help it a lot.
There are also nasal cleansing devices you can get… here’s one:

Although I’ve used it and doesn’t help me all that much, I’ve heard from others without chronic problems that it does help them.
Good luck and hope you feel better soon!
Q: No symptoms of sinus infection, no snot coming out of nose?
However, my nose feels as if it was blocked and no matter how much I flare my nostrils I still get the same amount of air inside because of this.
What do I have?
A: Possibly a deviated septum where the middle of your nose cartilage is off center. Ask your MD to look at it
Q: How do you know if you have a sinus headace? what are symptoms?
4 days ago i had a cold. ever since ive been feeling like my eyes are going to pop out, like pressure but more like they are being stretched out. My temples hurt and i feel sort of dizzy. I also have a headace. is this sinus problems or something more serious?
A: One easy way to tell if your sinuses are inflamed/infected is to tap around your face (over where your sinuses cavities are located – http://www.webhealthguides.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/sinus-infection-medicine.jpg). If you can feel pain in your sinuses just from the tapping, then you have a problem with your sinuses.
Q: Sinus Infection Symptoms Causing my CHeeks to Feel Kinda WEird?
Been feeling weird since Friday. Could not go to the doc today. Wanna call him and ask him about my symptoms tommorow. Since Friday night my left side of my face has felt kinda”tight” and “pulling”, and it comes and goes. The nostril on that side of my face kinda hurts and seem infected. I have no other symptoms and do not have a cold or mucus. Can this be from my sinuses in my face? I have heard sometimes sinus problems in the facial area can cause numb/tingly/tight/pulling etc. Anyone know?
A: Hi there, sounds to me you have sinusitis.Sinusitis simply means your sinuses are infected or inflamed. You have four main areas in your face where sinuses (hollow air pockets) in your face, they are,
Frontal sinuses over the eyes in the brow area
Maxillary sinuses inside each cheekbone
Ethmoid sinuses just behind the bridge of the nose and between the eyes
Sphenoid sinuses behind the ethmoids in the upper region of the nose and behind the eyes.
There are lots of ways to treat this problem, from home remedies such as inhaling steam, to vaporising eucalyptus. But i would suggest you see your Doctor ASAP for decongestants etc before it becomes painfull.

Q: what are the symptoms of a sinus infection?
well my mom has a sinus infection and she wants to no the symptoms please help
A: The symptoms of a sinus infection are usually a headache, and/or pressure in the area of the eyes, nose, side of the head, or the cheek area. It is caused by inflammation in the sinus area and nasal passages. Sometimes, there may also be fever, bad breath, and you seem like you have a bad smell coming from inside your sinuses.
Often sinus infections can also be a symptom of dental abscess.
Hope this helps.
Q: What is the best way to relieve the symptoms of a sinus infection?
A: If it is an infection, you may need antibiotics.
To help with pain, you can try using a decongestant, if you are able to take them. Also heat on 20 minutes, then ice (cold pak) 20 minutes then heat again for 20 minutes may help. I sometimes put heat on the front of my head while I have ice on the back of my head, and then after 20 minutes reverse, this actually works to help with the pain for me.
Q: Is it possible to have a sinus infection without symptoms?
A: In mild and early cases , yes. But what you call infection may not be infection unless you have fever and pain and tenderness over the sinuses. Moreover you may be having allergic rhinitis, which you think as sinusitis.
Q: Is it possible to have a sinus infection without any symptoms of a cold or illness?
I have had a headache that has last two day now. Odd for me as i rarely get headaches…they are very bothersome…..
I have no runny or stuffy nose, cough but i have a lot of pressure in the bridge of my nose between my eyes….?
Just wondering of others opinions….
i know go see a doctor…affordable healthcare is not so easy to come by these days………
A: yes i know someone that was dizzy when he woke up and throwing up went to see a doctor it was a sinus infection
Q: Can tonsillitis and then a sinus infection be symptoms of an std?
A: No. Tonsillitis is usually caused by a bacteria infection not STD’s and a sinus infection is due to allergies as well as a bacteria infection. Still no STD’s can cause either of those.
Please note that STD means Sexually Transmitted Disease. So Unless your gonna shoot something up your nose or down your throat (YUCK!) then the possibilties are null.
Q: What exactly are the symptoms of a sinus infection?
I was just curious………….
A: You can have a frontal headache, facial pain, a fever or feel congested.
