Q: video game headache ?
When I Play a adventure game, Like legend of zelda twilight princess I always get headache and then i feel like throwing up or vomiting
Also this happens to me when I Play any kind of shooting games like halo,call of duty and other games

but I don’t get headaches when I play games like supers mash bros brawl.

Whenever I play a Video Game mostly first person or third person games, after a while I feel really dizzy on my PC. Is their anything i could do before I play or after I play that could prevent this? I really get into the game sometimes and I cant stop playing and a while later I feel like i’m going to throw up, but I never do. All I can do is lay down, and it really doesn’t get that much better.

A: Yea man, a lot of first pertson games do this to me, the constant shifted on the screen is too much, I don’t get Nausea but a headache. Can the game and get something else. Or play it for a shorter period of time. Some of these games; example, “Tombraider” anniversary was hell on my eye’s and brain. Yea and a good answer for the first guy, maybe Dramamine?

I love playing games on the PS3, but every time I do, I get these annoying headaches and my stomach starts to feel a little awkward. Is it motion sickness? How can I stop it? Just medicine?

A: This happens to me a lot too. My parents say it’s just motion sickness. The only way I know how to stop it is to stop playing video games for a while and rest.

If you start to get a headache, take a break until it goes away. Also, it’s apparently a good idea to take a ten minute break every hour.

Q: Headache after long video game session?
Ok, last Saturday, I played video games for almost 18 hours straight. The day after I began having headaches. It’s Thursday now, five days from the session and I’m still having headaches. I’m beginning to think I developed a brain tumor from the radiation from the T.V. due to how long I played. Has anyone experienced this? How long does will this last? Is it a brain tumor? A: I know for me I personally get my vision all screwed up when I play any sort of guitar hero or rock band game. The constant scrolling down makes everything scroll down when I look anywhere else after playing for a while (Extremely strange and scary the first time it happened!)

I’m not sure why those games would do it, I’ve never noticed a difference for me when playing Halo 3 vs CoD4, but that’s just me. But all those games are awesome. =D

Some games do have the ability to cause seizures, but I don’t think that CoD would do that to you but Halo wouldn’t. But I’m not positive. If it’s bad talk to your doctor?

Q: Why do i get headaches watching a movie/video game camera is moving in different directions on the screen?
Like a home video when the camera man doesn’t know how to use the camera and the camera is going all over the place. If I play a video game that has the camera going in different directions of the screen I get a headache. I do wear glasses.

Has anyone ever gotten a headache because they might have been playing video games or surfing the web too long? You know, the kind that makes you not want to look at the light and lasts about a few hours to a day. If you’ve never had it, then don’t bother answering this question. But it seems to hurt my eyes and head a little whenever I use electronics with a bright screen way too long. I think this is eyestrain, but I’m not sure. Could someone tell me what this actually is? I’ve nicknamed it iAche, but I was hoping for a more technical term…

A: I like the term iAche! But if you’re looking for the technical term, eyestrain headache is the term you’re looking for.

It’s specifically from over-exposure to visual stimulation such as computer screens, television screens, or even reading books for extended periods of time! Eyestrain headaches can actually trigger migraines, which are very nasty – light sensitivity, severe pain in the eyes and temples, that lasts sometimes up to a day or more.

A good way to avoid eyestrain is to set a timer or stopwatch to go off every 20 minutes or so while you’re using the computer, watching TV, or playing video games. Force yourself to look around the room, change the focus of your eyes (look at something far away), close your eyes, and relax for several minutes. Then go back the the activity. This isn’t always practical when watching a TV show or playing a video game, so then just try to schedule breaks when you can – during the commercials on a TV show, or when you complete a level of a video game before you continue to the next one.

It also helps to get up and walk around for just a few minutes every hour that you’re using the computer or TV or are reading intensively. This also helps readjust the focus of your eyes and get the blood circulating throughout your body normally again.

These techniques can really help avoid eyestrain headaches; something you can also do, if you use the computer a lot, is get an anti-glare computer monitor shield. They’re a special small piece of plastic or glass that fits over your computer screen. Another good rule of thumb is to make sure you’re up to date with vision exams; if you’re having eyestrain problems, it’s very likely you’re slightly nearsighted or farsighted, and glasses can really, REALLY help!

Make sure you stay at LEAST five feet away from the television screen when watching or playing games also (farther is better).

Other types of headaches, that are mechanically induced, called Tension, or Stress headaches, can occur from staying in the same posture or from poor posture while sitting at the computer or TV. They feel very similar to eyestrain, but are different types of headaches, and can start with pain in the neck first. However, tension headaches don’t cause the same visual sensitivity as eyestrain headaches, and I don’t believe that’s what you’re describing here. However, just to be sure, you may want to pay attention to your posture as well, and make sure you move around a bit every few minutes.

A: no, its just from glare from the TV screen, or from focusing your eyes on a moving object really close to you for a long time. just take breaks while you play and look out the window at a distant tree for a while.

A: don’t play games for many hours continuously, take rest for some time. that will refresh your eyes.

A: It could be the brightness or frequency of the two different screens, or even the graphics being different between console game and computer game. I’m kinda the same way…I can play on the computer and be fine for hours, but watching TV makes my head and eyes hurt.

A: It has been professionally proven that t.v. can trigger huge amounts of radiation into your brain causing extreme headaches, or even migraines, it is advised that humans sit at least 5 feet away from the t.v. for less radiation to pump into your brain.

New mutations are constantly occurring in the sex cells of people destined to bear children, but this does not cause the 3% to increase, because mutations from earlier generations are being bred out by natural selection at an equal rate. That is, there is an equilibrium between introduction of new mutations and breeding out of old mutations. Q: Hit my head now feels like I’m in a video game?
I got a concussion and fractured my head and there was a small bleed 2 days ago. It was at the back of my head. I just got sent home from the hospital this afternoon. I have no depth perception, coordination and it feels like I’m in a video game, not really here. I pretty slow right now too and have a pressure headache, how long should this last?
