Also some of this may help?
1. Feel the top ridge of your eye socket under the eyebrow. You will discover a small groove in your skull about the center of the top of the eye socket. In this groove is a nerve which is very sensitive to pressure. If you compress this nerve, it will be very painful. However, the pain will stimulate the pituitary to release endorphins immediately. The endorphins are the body’s own natural painkillers and are more powerful than morphine. To stimulate the nerve, push hard against it for about 10 seconds.
2. A similar method for releasing endorphins is to take a couple teaspoons of cayenne pepper in a glass of water. This is not harmful. When the cayenne hits the stomach lining, endorphins will be released by the brain to stop the pain.
3. Put a cold rag on your neck or forehead. Many headaches are caused by tense neck muscles. Conversely, use a moist hot pack to loosen up tense muscles – see which works best for you.
4. Massage the ears and ear lobes as well as the neck. If you can, find two tennis balls or raquette balls and put them in a sock. Lay on a flat surface and place the two balls just below the base of your skull on the occipital and relax. You may feel sinus pressure or minimal discomfort at first but it will go away. Lay in this position with the still point on the occipital for as long as needed. This is especially helpful for sinus headaches.
5. Similar in concept to the endorphin release – nerve stimulation through acupressure can offer some relief of symptoms. Search for “Do-in” or “acupressure” on the web.
6. *Reflexology – With one hand, massage the area between the thumb and forefinger on the other hand and hold. Use only as much pressure as you can tolerate and be sure to breath deeply and relax-this spot will probably be painful. Hold it until the pain level reduces significantly and repeat with more pressure. Do this on both hands and repeat as needed.
And so you dont hurt yourself here
Warnings
* Overdosing with Tylenol is highly toxic to the liver. No more than 2 in a four hour period! Taking Tylenol with alcohol greatly increases the danger to the liver.
* Behind the sternocleidomastoid is the carotid artery and vagus nerve. Pinching these off can cause faintness or even brain damage by disturbing blood flow to the brain. If you feel faint, dizzy, or nauseated while working on that muscle, stop immediately and lie down for several minutes.

A: My husband uses this to keep from getting bronchitis when he gets a sinus infection, and I use it to cure sinus infections. THere are many kinds of bacteria that live in the sinuses, and this gets rid of all the bad ones!.This is the only thing that really helped me — my Dr. told me about a sinus wash that will kill bacteria.
you need
distilled water
sea salt
liquid chlorophyll and colloidal silver from the health food store.
in a glass mix 1/4 cup water with a pinch of salt and heat to body temperature.
add 5 drops each silver and chlorophyll and mix.
using a large dropper (like one used for infant medication) drop 2 full droppersfull into one side of the nose while laying down.
Turn the head and let it drain out the other nostril. Be sure to have paper towels handy. or just use a neti pot, I like this better.
The silver kills the bacteria and there are several hundred kind that can live in the sinus cavities and anti biotics don’t get rid of them all.
Do this twice a day for a week, mixing up the mixture fresh each time.
Then do it once a week for maintenance.
There is nothing in this that will hurt you, and it cured me.
I do not have to take claritin, or antibiotics anymore.
best wishes
Q: After eating a meal after heavy exercise, I sometimes get a sinus headache. What does it mean?
I’ve been told maybe it’s something to do with how our blood sugar level is low after exercise and eating a meal can raise it quite a bit, hence this leading to the sinus headache…but is it normal? Does it mean I have diabetes? What can I do to treat it?
A: Wow, well this is an interesting one. I’m not so sure how a sinus headache and a sudden increase in blood sugar are related, but i suppose there are ways to find out if this is indeed the case. The way to do this would be to actually check your blood sugar. If i were you i would avoid actually going out and buying a meter and just find a friend who has one (just use fresh lancelets, don’t use theirs!!!!). I did this before i found out that i was hypoglycemic. It’s not like you are taking someone elses medicine or something. Using the meter, you can check two things. First you can see where you blood sugar is at after you excersise, right before your meal, and then compare it to after your meal, most preferably when you actually have the headache. And second you can check your fasting blood sugar, or your sugar immediately upon waking up before you eat anything. A fasting blood sugar level under 100 milligrams of glucose per deciliter of blood (mg/dL) is considered normal. If your blood sugar level is 100 to 125mg/dL, you could have prediabetes. I wouldn’t rely on this for diagnosis, but this definitely can give you an idea and something you can take to your doctor.
I’m not sure of the possibility, but if you are having sinus issues after eating you may also want to pay attention to what you eat and the possibility of a food allergy? I can’t elaborate too much on this not knowing a lot about your situation though. I’ll just say that food allergies are actually quite common. I have an allergy to gluten, and although i don’t usually have a lot of sinus pressure, i can sometimes feel a little in the cheek area.
So i don’t know if this is a tremendous amount of help, but at least you can have ways of checking yourself for the diabetes. If you can’t resolve this and it becomes an issue i would definitely suggest going to your doctor. It’s always easier when you’ve already ruled out some possibilites for the doctor (although some are too stubborn to listen). Good luck!!!!
Q: How can i help my dad with his sinus headache??

A: I find an ice bag insulated with a small towel helpful
Q: Why do i get a sinus headache after using the neti pot?
I used it this morning and had a sinus headache shortly after using it. and then in the afternoon I got a really massive sinus headache.
Is this normal or what?
I didnt make the saline solution, I bought at the Pharmacy.
I use 1 package for 8oz. water per nostril.
Here is what the pre-mixed package has in it–all natural, usp grade (99.9%) pure. Sodium Chloride and Sodium Bicarbonate. The solution is ph balanced and isotonic., no iodine or preseravitives. To be used in 8oz. of water.
The water was little warmer then tepid, but not much more. Where do i find a syringe for this? I have just seen squeeze bottles and the neti pot.
A: If the saline isn’t the wrong concentration(as the other answerers mentioned) then you nay have irrigated too vigorously. netti post are supposed to rinse the nasal passages, but it you do it too strong the saline might actually get into the sinus cavities and not be able to run back out and cause pressure.

Q: Burning candles always give me a sinus headache?
Every time I burn candles at night I can always count on having a sinus headache when I wake up in the morning. Why does that keep happening?
A: I can’t burn candles in my house-the same thing happens to me. I think I am sensitive to the fragrance in the candles. I have trouble breathing when they are burning too.
Q: Is it possible to have a sinus headache without any congestion?
I keep getting what I think are sinus headaches. There’s pressure in my forehead and to the side of my nose. I can feel the weight there when I bend over. OTC sinus medicine works wonders on it. Funny thing is I can breathe just fine. Is this possible?
A: Yes, all u need to get is a decongestant (Zyrtec has a new one try that)

I tried a “whole body cleanse” for two weeks and i never got a sinus headache. i was wondering what herb prevented these headaches. my headaches usually turn to migraines. once i stopped the program i was getting real bad sinus and headaches again.
A: try a neti pot- you can often get them at health food stores or even some drug stores- for sure online… you put slightly warm salt water in them & rinse the sinus once a day…
my mom’s ENT doc recommended it to her & I recommend it to my patients w/ sinus headache & allergy… it works wonders… (I’m a chiropractor).
Q: Is it normal for me to get a severe sinus headache when I play trumpet?
I get sinus headaches often in the summertime, but they get really bad when I play high notes on my trumpet or when I do push ups or stretch so that my head is below the rest of my body. Is this normal and why does this happen?
A: That doesn’t seem normal.
Go to a doctor. Also, breath deep from your gut and do not raise your shoulders when you inhale. However, this really sounds like something you need to tell a doctor.
