Q: Is it possible to have nausea, vomiting and headache 10 days after having several teeth pulled?
I had several teeth pulled over 10 days ago and am still having nausea, vomiting and headache. Seven days after the extractions I ended up in the hospital over night dehydrated and my potassium was very low. That was three days ago and I am still sick. I am not taking any pain pills or antibiotics and there is no infection.

A: Possibly a reaction to the anesthetic. You should have been taking an antiemetic. Try Emetrol and take something for the headache. Also report this to your oral surgeon on Monday.

Q: whenever i walk in sunlight or do work in heat i have to face acidity with vomiting & headache for last 5year?
i consult many specialized doctor but they failed to treat. For this i cant work hard because whenever i work more without fan or in sunlight i cant digest my food. For relief i have to do vomiting by drinking water for cure & i became sick for 3days.Please solve my problem.

A: You probably have a variant of migraine headache that occurs with exposure to sunlight.
See a good neurophysician so that you can be started on treatment.
I can help you with referral to one if you are in the Bangalore area.

Q: How can i avoid vomiting and a big time headache after drinking heavily the night before?
I get big time vomiting of bitter yellow liquids, abdominal spasms, headache, weakness when i wake up after a drinking spree. How can I avoid this? I guess its not nomal, since most people do not experience these when they drink a lot. It is like a hangover, but an extereme form. I am just really so tired of this from happening everytime I have a good time with friends.

A: drink water or gatorade before going to bed………..and it’s sound crazy, but eat a banana – i haven’t had a hangover since i tried this!!

whatever you do – DO NOT take tylenol after drinking – the two combined can cause renal failure!

**to the RN who says tylenol doesn’t cause renal failure – that’s funny, i had a best friend DYE from it at age 23………..it can also cause liver failure………..and i am also a medical professional with a B.S. degree………..

Q: Headache accompanied by Vomiting and Fever?
My sister suddenly having serious headache both on the frontal and the occipital part. She also vomits and having a high fever (Avg. 101 Degree Celsius.) Is is happening because of the gastric problem or is this a sign of brain tumor?
By mistake i wrote 101 degree Celsius. It is actually 101 deg. Fahrenheit.

A: hi, don’t panic! headache may occur by many common causes than thinking of brain tumor.besides br tumor never presents with acute illness.i think its a case of viral fever . give her paracetamol according to age and pantoprazole.definitely consult a doc. hoping she will be fine..

Q: Pregnant And Vomiting Produces Excruciating Headache, Anyone Else Get This?
I am 41 weeks pregnant and in the last few weeks I have occasionally vomited. I have had no morning sickness during this pregnancy until now and this vomiting is something new. While I am vomiting I get sudden unbelievable excruciating throbbing pain that lasts a few minutes and then finally it eases up a bit and turns into a steady bad headache. I am wondering if anyone else has dealt with this problem. I am going to see my doctor but I just wonder if anyone can shed some light on this for me.

A: i had that and my now 14 year old nightmare was leaning on my spine!!! it was horrible and she was m y last, lol. but i was also sick from the day i got pregnant (and thats no lie) and stayed sick throughout, dont worry , i made it , and my bouncing little bundle of joy is still giving me headaches!!!

Q: I am vomiting with a headache . What can I do to get energy?
I vomited throughout the night. Every time I had some water it would come back out. Every 15 minutes. Then I got a migraine. And now have very little energy.

A: Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas daily – magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.

Now to the cause – muscles – your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.

The cure – start with a professional massage, you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).

For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

Q: Headache While Vomiting — Did I Have A Stroke?
One night I really overate and had a massive throw up. In the middle of the vomiting, I had an intense headache that lasted about 10 seconds. The pain went from ear to ear around the back of my head, no pain in the front. No other symptoms except nausea before and none after. I can’t remember if this ever happened before. Someone told me this was definitely a stroke. Was it?
I don’t have any of the risk factors for stroke: smoking, drinking, drugs, family history, etc….

A: No, you can have a bad quick headache without that being a stroke. Do you have residual weakness on one side? Was “Someone” a doctor who performed diagnostic tests for a stroke? If not – they were talking nonsense.

Q: Would you rather feel like vomiting or get a headache?
I have both right now, I feel like I’m about to throw up and I also have a headache.

A: get off Y!A
lie down, drink plenty of water, tone down the lights.
it may be migraine :/
get well soon

i would rather have a headache…

Q: I am 5th months pregnancy and have a headache lasting all night and vomiting and nausea. Why?
I didn’t really get bad morning sickness and only vomitted once during that first trimester, now that I am 5 months pregnant I had a headache that last me all night until morning and vomiting. Could it be what I ate or something else? (I ate mashed potatoes and ground beef and a lettuce and tomatoe salad.) I didn’t have any tylenol but will have to pick some up today. I’m on my 2nd day now feeling this way. Should I worry? What could it be? Should I tell my doctor?

A: I would still talk to your doctor but I had the same thing when I was pregnant. I was told that it was just a surge of hormones.

Q: Today i woke up vomiting with a headache and i feel very dizzy i just stop my period i think ?
2 weeks ago i had unprotected sex you think i should take a pregnancy test?

A: yes u should

Q: Why do i feel like vomiting and i have headache and stomach problems and feeling dizzy sometimes?
like a week ago i’ve been feeling really dizzy and i sometimes feel like vomiting. Sometimdon’t dont feel like eating alot. My head hurts everyday for the past week in a half and i’ve been having stomach problems like gas and pooping alot and sometimes my stomach hurts which makes me feel like vomiting. whats wrong with me? please answer please

A: If you have a heavy peroid It can be Low iron in your blood. That was my problem and its VERY common and untreated in women. Get your iron levels tested or at the very least start taking iron suppliments which you can get at the grocery store. Even if you dont need them they cant hurt you so you’ve nothing to lose.

I also have a huge favor to ask, Look at the questions I asked and read the one about sickness…. tell me if it sounds like we are having a similar problem. Im desprate to find out whats wrong because iv been dealing with alot for a year now. thx

Q: I am 10 weeks pregnant now. How to get rid with headache, dizzy and vomiting?
Or else how to ease all those pregnancy symptoms?

A: um sucking on lolipops makes you feel better. They have ones w/ ginger which is suppose to help with the nausea at motherhood. Also my Dr. told me to have a cracker right when you get outta bed in the Am and it worked. Try and have little snacks throughout the day. Hope this helps. After the 1st trimester it gets better.

Q: my sister is having pain in her chest, a headache and vomiting?
shes crying because of it (but she over exaggerates over almost anything) and like should i take her to the hospital? also like what does she have? is she gonna have like a heart attack or something??

A: YES YOU SHOULD CALL 911 AND GET HER TO THE HOSPITAL, COULD BE STRESS COULD BE HEART COULD BE ANY THING YOU DON’T NEED TO MESS AROUND WITH THOSE COMBINATION

Q: I’ve had vomiting, nausea, loose stools, headache for 6 days. When should I feel better?
It started 6 days ago with really bad headache, nausea, vomiting, loose stools (day 1). Loose stools not a constant problem, more constant nausea & headache with some vomiting on the side. Lethargy, weakness, just all round crappynes.
Work in a food outlet so can’t go until all symptoms stop for 48 hrs. How much longer am I going to be ill for????

A: you should start feeling better after you go to the doctor and obtain the medication for the infection that you obviously have.

Q: What’s wrong with my head? Everyday i would suffer from heavy headache/migraine follows with vomiting.?
Plus every time i had my period, i would bleed a lot and at one day i need at least 10pads to cover it. I just cant take it anymore. Do i suffer from Fibroid?
No i didn’t use tampon at all.

A: You may well have a fibroid or endometriosis – they are rather common and not dangerous if you do have them, but painful and inconvenient.
But that is basically NOT connected to your headaches, not directly anyway.
A very good thing would be to go to the office of a good HMO list Chiropractor who can help you with your neck, headaches, nausea which will all get better once your upper cervical spine is adjusted and straightened.
And it may even help you with your period pain and bleeding – these functions are also regulated by nerves coming out of the mid and lower spine – you may be very surprised how much it can help!
Good luck, email if you have a question.
