Q: Got a song that can help ease a headache?
I’m leaning toward “good feeling” from Violent Femmes but would love to know what you use. Something relaxing and soothing, please. Woke up with this one.

A: There is a really good calming song, don’t be turned off by the song because it is a version of Somewhere over the Rainbow. It is by this famous Hawaiin guy Israel Kamakawiwo’ole and it is really good for almost anything. You could look it up on iTunes. Feel better soon…..

Q: Catholics, Is possible that there is a good spiritual energy that heal my illness?
It is started when I had an upset stomach. I cannot eat nor drink water. And, I also have a headache and nausea. I took the medicine Motillium as a first aid. Maybe iI am suffering from a dyspepsia. In my dream, I was in my old apartment at Reina Regente St. Then, I was looking at the window and there are floods everywhere but not necessarily like in Noah’s Ark story. When I saw the clock striked at 3:00 pm. I heard the voices from nowhere that they are reciting the Divine Mercy Chaplet. So, I participated in the recitation of Divine Mercy Chaplet. Later, a group of my friends singing gospel praise songs and I joined them. One of then named Zarah Grace, I told her in my dream that I have a bad dream about her. She is a Protestant. She told me that she doesn’t believe in the interpretation of the dreams. And, she also added that it is possibly that my dream about her on the other night came from Satan.
When I woke up, I started to feel at ease. I have enough rest. I am no longer having a headache, and I do not have stomach ache anymore.

A: IM Catholic Yay!

From what it sounds like it was a healing miracle if all your suferrings are gone. I’m also gald you’re feeling better.

May God Bless You,

Q: 80Gig Classic iPod or upgrade to 64gig iPod touch?
My iPod is my favorite device. I had one of the earliest generations for 30GB but later bought my own 80GB with video and all that good stuff. I was so grateful for that upgrade! Now a few years later I’m on the thresh-hold of perhaps getting the iPod touch and need some help deciding.

Main concern: Less Space
I currently have 30+GB of music, but could easily add just as much in video even though right now I am only using about 40Gigs total and it would fit on the 64. What’s the chances of them coming out with an 80gig or higher soon and is it worth the wait?

Battery life : I heard the battery life is less, but I suppose I could get a car charger to help…

Less important: Ease of commands while not looking at the device. I am used to skipping songs or doing basic controls while the iPod is in my pocket or next to me in the car when I am driving and I do not have to look at it by feel of the buttons. How convenient is the touch navigation? I am interested in the voice activation but may be using my own ear phones which would make that pointless.

If you do shake to shuffle can it do the next song or at least a song within the same playlist or artist? I would hate to be surprised too much as I have an extremely wide variety of music… and what about if it shakes accidentally?

FEATURES I’M INTERESTED IN FOR IPOD TOUCH:

WiFi/internet when available.

Bigger screen for videos.

Applications such as for games, dictionary, etc.

E-books – currently do this, but only using a program that breaks it up into a 200+ text notes

Genius mixes – I really like this feature in iTunes.

Searching – it’s a big headache to scroll through the alphabet and even worse to scroll through my entire collection of music.

I am pretty sure I will convert to the touch eventually no matter what, but wonder if it would be worth waiting just a bit longer? I wouldn’t even consider the 32GB or less models when they were the only ones available.

A: 80g is ok

Q: Can someone help me with my Spanish homework?
Necesito alguien traducir este reseña de Madagascar 2. Hablo de una traducción literal de un hablante nativo. ¡Gracias!

“Madagascar,” the 2005 animated film that brought us pampered zoo critters Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the paranoid hypochondriac giraffe and Gloria the hippo (and the penguins, don’t forget those crafty penguins) pulled in about half a billion dollars at the box office. The sequel, “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa,” is a better film, though — less manic, more easygoing.

The first movie referenced so many other movies so indiscriminately, from “Chariots of Fire” to “Planet of the Apes” to “American Beauty,” watching it was like being caught on a bus with a bunch of screenwriters on the way to a wisenheimer convention. The new one lays off that stuff, comparatively, and while there are booger jokes and such, you’ll likely avoid that “Over the Hedge” headache so many of these critter outings instill.

Marooned on Madagascar, Alex (voiced by Ben Stiller), Marty ( Chris Rock), Melman ( David Schwimmer) and Gloria ( Jada Pinkett Smith) yearn for home in the Central Park Zoo, where starry-eyed, egocentric Alex’s antics have made him “king of New York.” The penguins rig up an old, busted plane, slingshot fashion, and zing the quartet (plus stowaways) not to Manhattan, but to Africa, somewhere near Mt. Kilimanjaro.

From there, “Escape 2 Africa” begins a serious poaching session on “Lion King” territory. Alex finds his parents — the late Bernie Mac provides the voice of daddy Zuba, big mane on campus — and with obvious allusions to Scar in “The Lion King,” Alec Baldwin lends his sterling basso distrusto voice to jealous Makunga, a petty and venal lion indeed, who exploits naive, showbizzy Alex for his own political gain.

When I say “Escape 2 Africa” goes easy on the pop culture jokes, I should clarify: One of the smarter things in the script is how Alex, who digs his Bob Fosse and Jerome Robbins dance moves, becomes the film’s primary pop-cult gag. (When he suits up for ceremonial battle, a fight he doesn’t realize will involve actual fighting, his war paint includes a dandy pair of tragic/comic masks.) This allows the rest of the movie to spread out and ease up in other ways, exploring other avenues.

And, naturally, most of the elements that made “Madagascar” all those millions are back, including lemur leader King Julien (Sacha Baron Cohen with a wittily un-peggable dialect), and the song — the song — “I Like to Move It.”

Screenwriter-directors Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath were joined this time by co-writer Etan Cohen. The visual style is typical, ultra-crisp computer animation, bright, sharp, somewhat clinical.

I took my kid and three of his pals to an Imax screening, and while I could’ve done without the film’s martial arts slapstick involving the cranky old outer-borough lady on safari, in a role expanded from her Grand Central Station cameo in the first picture, well, if there’s one thing parenthood teaches anybody in this country, it’s that boys rarely fail to laugh at someone gettin’ it in the ‘nads from a senior citizen.

Reviews from our second-grade posse: “Really liked it.” “Four million stars.” “Five million stars.”

A: Now, that’s asking!
I think that, since this is homework, you should give it a try yourself.
You should be able to translate at least parts of the text: I doubt a teacher will give you something that is completely beyond your reach.

See what you can translate, post it here, and I promise I’ll help you with the rest.
But I’m a teacher myself, so of course I’m against doing a student’s homework.

Anyway, probably someone will not care so much whether you learn or you don’t and will give you a complete translation; which will make my post mean nothing at all.

Q: How is my soon2be Ex getting away with this?
I am 26 yrs old. Successful, attractive and full of laughter! Soon2be Ex 32, he makes 200,000.00 a year just NOW moved out of his moms house! He currently pays ZERO child support but he was only ordered to pay 200.00 a month! Our Son is now five. 2Bx and I dated, got pregnant, he left me. Claiming “ITS NOT MINE” classic S2BX showed back up for Lamaze class, that I PAID for. To this day, I believe it was only to torture me! He smelt like a brew house. He let me know he was workin with only 2 hrs of sleep and in the same sentence telling me to breath! YUCK. All I wanted was for him to STOP breathing on ME Then my S2BX of course showed his face again in the delivery room! I must say, being pregnant was the happiest I have ever been in my life. And the only thing that made me frustrated was my S2BX. Let me cut to the chase… S2BX and I got back together I was SEVERE post partum/justa big ol BiA. My S@BX wasn’t havin it. Which I sort of don’t blame him: Do you remember the song by Jessica Simpson….Nothin but a Tshirt on? Well that came on the radio, my S2BX said “damn she’s …I STOPpEd HIM reaL quick by stating J. S. was dating NICK and would never date you and BlahBlahBlah Most guys would laugh or maybe not…But I had just given birth! I went from a size 0 to relying on rubber bands to keep my BIG OL BELLY all safe and sound. Needless to say since that night we have been back and forth… In between all of our breakups we found time to get married! The really bad part is that I was not bonded to my son the way that I should have been. I was always on edge and had severe anxiety. Just an emotional roller coaster for myself but more importantly our son. Every time I start getting things right for myself and son the S2BX is knocking at my front door! And I always fall for it! Keep in mind, my S2BX has gone thru five other women in our sons five years of life. I am not talking about casual DATING. These girls were emotionally involved in our sons life. Summer of 06′ I ran into 2 of the 5 girls. Girl #1 we ended up being on the same boat out on the lake; so we chitchat to ease the tension then she tells me how much she missed my son and that she remembered rocking him to sleep when he was a baby, Girl #2 approaches me CRYING wanting to TALK! Meanwhile I’m toasting champagne for my best friends birthday! I toasted and with a smile I turned and listened….she told me she was still madly in love with my S2BX and she missed my son terribly. Before you ask “why I was not home with my son… my son was with his dad [S2BX] EOW. My S2BX also has an addiction to pain pills! BAD! He’s still spending ungodly amounts of money on them. He’s actually SUPER nice when he’s on them but when he cant find any or goes a day without HE’S EVIL or locked in the bedroom with a severe headache or on the toilet constipated! He yells he throws things he’s abusive physically and mentally to our son and to me. Then takes a magic pill and he acts like the greatest dad and best Hubby in the world. I go back to him so I know that my son is safe hands, S2bx is not a good person PERIOD but the judge only see’s the TABd out happy side of him and the FED UP side of me! My ex needs REHAB my Son needs me THE judge needs…Who Knows! The harder I try the more I seem to fail… Wh?
I know I allow him back in but how else can I protect my son? I mean really… If I bring up S2Bx’s: Pill problem, Anger Issues, multiple girlfriends (which I could careless about ) just NO SLEEP OVERS when he has our child. Good chance it will back fire. I mean to you I probably just sound like I’m playing the victim of a bad marriage and making all this up…. wish I was. If only our judge could be a fly on the wall!!! That would be the only way anyone could understand any of this. And let me correct myself … my S@BX was not making this kind of money when they put together the Temporary child support order. At the time he had been working for his DAD then quit the month before our court date and was waiting tables. Then after the decision was made he got his 8-5 back….

A: He gets away with it because you let him walk all over you ! Stupid idea to marry him. It has nothing to do with you how much he earns by the way if you are not together. He should be paying for his son though.

Q: HELP! can you edit this essay….?
and maybe add some suggestions too, like a better closing sentence?
pleeeeaassssee!?!?!?!

here it is…

Chinese medicines

Throughout time, the people of China have used many kinds of remedies and performed different practices to ease tensions in the body and lessen stress, but most of all relieve pain which may range from headaches to body aches. Three popular ancient Chinese medical treatments are acupuncture, herbal medicine, and tunia. Chinese people have practiced these types of remedies for hundreds of years through many different dynasties.
Acupuncture is an ancient form of medicine that rooted back eight thousand years from the Taoist tradition. There are ‘nine needles’ used in the practice of acupuncture, each having its own purpose. Initially, the needles were made from bronze, gold, and silver; however, the majority of them are now made from stainless steel. The needles are placed in the acupuncture points which run in different channels each system in the body. Acupuncture points are described as a spot on the body that influences the vital flow of energy through the body.(citation numbers 1 and 4)
Herbal medicines have been used in China for cure or many diseases and conditions. Herbs were used for three uses: treat diseases, heal illnesses, and maintain daily life. There are over 300 kinds of herbs that are used commonly. Herbs are known to be safer and more gentle than chemical medicine. Herbs do not have side effects. Herbs used to be taken by tea. Due to the unpleasant smells and taste, people are now more commonly using tablets. More people are now choosing taking medical with herbs than with the chemicals because they are more natural.(citation number 2)
Tunia also known as anmo is another type of medical treatment. “Tunia” means “pushing (and) grasping” in modern Chinese. The term “anmo” was used instead of tunia until the Ming dynasty. During a exaction of the Ma Wang Dui tomb (dated 168 BC),
medical texts and silk scrolls and bamboo strips were found. There were many of the early anmo techniques on them. The Huangdi Nei Jing is the earliest surviving text of early Chinese medicine. There is information treatment for various disorders and relationships between anmo and acupuncture. (citation number 3)Tunia has developed over many dynasties. The Tang often prescribed it for disease prevention. The Song dynasty began to use it for bone fractures and dislocations. The Ming dynasty began pediatric massages. The Qing dynasty is when prominence of folk-art arose and tunia was used for it. Ranges of conditions treated by anmo has expanded to include most branches of medicine in our modern world.(citation number 3)
As time changed and evolved into the modern medicinal world, professional people have become experts by using these Chinese treatments. People are looking for natural ways to cure ailments so they have turned to these methods of treatments and practices because they are less toxic on the body. Many people all over the world have adopted these treatments and believe they cure illnesses.

Q: What are some fast-paced love songs by women?
Okay, so I was thinking along the lines of pop, country, maybe rock…but I am putting together a playlist of cute love songs and need the names of either female artists or songs which have fast tempos and are really cute…like Taylor Swift or Colbie Caillat…someone along those lines…please no rap or screamo…those songs give me headaches! And please don’t suggest anything slow…because that’s not what I’m looking for!! Please and thank you if you help!!

A: Cascada – Everytime We Touch
DDR – Dragonfly
and other techno songs like that

Q: Anyone else get huge headaches from not listening to music?
I usually listen to really loud songs every day. But then when I stop for a day or two, I get really huge headaches.

Anyone else get this?

A: I get that, but not from listening to LOUD music. I have a headache all the time, and it subsides when I listen to music. Well, it’s not really a headache so much as a drumming.

Your problem is the LOUD music problem. just gradually ease yourself down from loud to less loud, bit by bit, and if the problem persists go see an ear doctor.

Q: How can I get educational games and songs for school children?
I have health promotion classes for grades 1,2 and 3. I tried searching the internet but it has its way of making my headache worse! Please help me.

A: here are several of sites that I have used to get songs and educational games from.
twinsisters.com
teachnet.com
teacherly.com
teach-nology.com
Best of luck in your searching.

Q: Name That Tune!?
I’m bored so let’s see what music skillz you got. And no cheating!!

Song 1 -
Like A Western
I See You Baby Girl
Song Five: Hanson – Mmm Bop

Q: Why do i get headaches after singing a high note?
My voice instructor think it’s because of my allergies & that it’s putting pressure on my head when i can’t open my passages smoothly. My head begins to hurt after hitting a C-E upper octave note for a long time, especially if the song consist of that note a lot. We were wondering if there was anything we could do to fix this problem. My voice teacher said “You have the ability to hit those notes, but your passages aren’t letting you do it without pain.”

A: dats cuz wen u hold air in for a long time, like u usually have to do with high notes, u get to much oxygen in ur bloodstream and makes u dizzy.
i always get that problem and this was what my teacher said

Q: From where can I download the mp3 songs of Marathi movie Natrang for free?
Oh, it really has been headache for me. I searched a lot… can u plz help?

A: www.guruji.com

Q: Is there any good music downloading places that give you all the songs you want for a monthly fee? Legal?
Not zune, because that doesn’t work.
and itunes is giving me a headache.

I have an ipod.

A: Try Limewire its free too.

Q: What song gives you a headache, but u still cant stop listening?
this song does it for me. the beat is irritating, but im addicted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVnRzEjpUmE&feature=channel_page ***star if you agree!***
and what song does that to u?

A: B52’s Loveshack

Q: Do you know any techno songs similar to “Pretty Rave Girl”?
I LOVE techno and my phone is filled to the brim with it but my most favorite songs are “Pretty Rave Girl” and the “Anima Libera” mix (faster than the original but both are great). I love the FAST beats and im looking for similar songs with the speedy beat. For some reason I just can’t find any that won’t give you a headache.

Do you know of any?
Thank you muchly!
=)

A: The Odysee-Scarf! , I will believe it-Cascada , Bass is kicking-Dj Splash , Dr.Feelgood-Dj Splash , No Limit-Dj Splash , This is My Life-Dj Splash , Rave Mansion-Dj Splash

I’ve got lots of techno, If you cannot find any of these or want more, message my yahoo account or something…

Q: Why do i never get headaches?
I never get them, and i want to now why. And i am very stressed sometimes cause of all the work,
song writing ( i love writing songs), and more that i do, that i have to do in little time.
But im stressd for other reasons two.
So why do i never get headches, do i have like a nice brain??
No, i wasn’t complaining its just my friend dont believe me cause i cant say why i dont get headaches

A: Can’t people read a question properly?
They do their utter best to explain as to why you get a headache and that ain’t your problem
You are just a lucky dude :just like me.Never have a headache and need not complain about that
Success:Planets with a headache free live.

Q: Playing the flute gives me headaches?
I played the clarinet for a while and I switched to flute not too long ago. The songs I play are already involving high notes and I always get headaches playing them. What should I do?

A: Hello PF.

What is happening is…. you are getting a head rush from blowing as hard as needed to reach those high notes. It is normal though I know it can be painful I am surprised you are not getting dizzy as well.

I really don’t know what you can do except try not to blow so hard. Relax your embouchure and try and blow futher forward instead of across and down.

When you start feeling head pain – just stop and take a break. Hopefully this will work itself out. But if not, you are very lucky you can still play the clarinet. )

Thanks for reading and best of luck

Q: Your opinion on the HSM’s?
Speak your mind on all the High School Musicals! Please don’t bash HSM.

Well, thanks to 2 and 3, I’m beginning to dislike HSM, but thats just me.

1 ~ Very original. Loved the songs; they were very broadway like. I loved the opening song for this movie; it was cute how the two met. +9/10

2 ~ Killed the original. Better songs. Loved Fabulous and I Don’t Dance. =] But why is the storyline nearly the same? +6/10

3 ~ Better than 2, DUH. But I gotta give props to the casting and script-writers. Very funny scenes. Loved Matt Prokop. =] Gets boring after a while with all the slow-paced songs that V and Zac sing; it gave me a headache! =/ Some songs were cheesy… +7

Also, how do you think 4 is going to be like? In my opinion, it won’t be as great as the others because most of the important charachters might be gone.

But that is my oponion! Don’t hate me for speaking my mind. I’d like to hear your opinions. I will respect yours if you respect mine.

No rude or stupid answers. Thanks. =]

A: I haven’t seen the third one, I won’t even bother with that one.

#1 was very cute, I liked it. I expected differently. I expected it to be completely different. Then again the Family Channel commercials didn’t show much, (family=canadian disney channel very crappy) Nice songs, kind of addicting

#2 was randomly made, I hate it. I think it was made just because of the success of #1. I didn’t like it whatsoever. I thought it was made very quickly. It wasn’t even in HIGH SCHOOL. It was a stupid summer thing.

#3 won’t bother with it.

#4 will be bad

apparently they will make a #5 AND IT WILL BE BAD!!!!

Q: I need HORRIBLE songs!?
My insane spanish teacher serves detention by playing horrible music that gives you headaches just from listening! Im looking for a song that is so bad it makes your head hurt. If the song is voted the worst, i get a lot of extra credit points that i need! so please, i need worst song tht will get in your head! thanks!!

A: Any Justin Beiber song

Q: How do you know when you’re in love?
I’m curious..For me, its when I catch myself daydreaming with a silly grin on my face and when I can listen to soppy love songs without getting a headache..

A: I’ll say it again…when you look at that person and you melt inside…and the feeling just keeps getting stronger with time

Q: Suggestions for songs?
could anyone suggest a few soothing, calm, and relaxing songs?
perhaps like when i have a headache, or am trying to fall asleep. also, upbeat & happy songs to get me going in the morning when i get ready for school would be nice. i just always have to be listening to something, sometimes i just can’t stand the silence. any help would be just wonderful, thanks!
daddy’s girl: i love those songs, too, already have them on my list. thanks, though! i really appreciate it.

A: Easy Silence or Lullaby by Dixie Chicks
Save Tonight by Eagle Eye Cherry
Solisbury Hill by Peter Gabriel

Q: Sinus headaches?
I get sinus headaches all the time. Usually taking medicine will take care of it. Does anyone know of any natural cures for a sinus headache??

A: I’ve heard that using a nasal spray of saline mist (salt, basically) will help keep you from getting these headaches. Would that help? The Germans also suggest brewing strong chamomile ‘tea’ (with whole flowers when possible) and inhaling the steam vapors from that.

You can usually get whole dried chamomile flowers from a health food store. Put them into a large heatproof bowl and add boiling water to just cover the flowers. Stir a little. Use a towel to make a ‘tent’ over the bowl and put your head in under this little tent. That way, the steam doesn’t all escape without being of benefit to you first. Breathe through your nose, of course. Keep at this until there’s not much steam left. Repeat it twice a day until your sinuses are better.

Q: Sinus Headaches?
My allergies are worse this year, about an hour after I wake up I have to take Benadryl or Advil for the headaches….is there something else I can take besides pills?
I don’t want to keep on popping meds. all the time.
I use Claritin on some days but it doesn’t get rid of the sinus headaches.
I live in Canada and we don’t have Alive here but I did try it from a co-worker and it didn’t work, thanks anyway, but I don’t want to take any more pills
sorry its Aleve I think

A: This is Iman from Halifax,

As a health care professional and a person who struggled with allergies, asthma and sinus headaches for a long time i reccommend you visit the bellow website.

Q: sinus headaches?
i get really painful sinus headaches all the time i wen to the doctor but i just keep getting told its enviromental allergies I have been taking veramyst but i still get headaches. what should i do

A: Get a second opinion.

It may indeed be just allergies or it may be indication of something else. I’m not trying to scare you but there are some instances when surgery may be required.

Q: How best to prevent sinus headaches?
I get sinus headaches in the morning sometime losing alot of sleep. I have tried most common remedies but I still get one to three sinus headaches a week.

A: Drink lots of water. This will thin out the mucus that causes pressure in you sinuses. Also try taking two doses of odorless garlic pills 2x a day. It kills bacteria and may be stinky, but helps a TON. (I have sinus infections all the time)

Q: How do I get rid of Sinus headaches without taking any pills?
I get these horrible sinus headaches almost everyday…does anyone have a way to get rid of these dumb headaches?

A: First make sure you don’t have a sinus infection because that’s like trying to shovel snow in a blizzard. When it comes to your sinuses cold compresses work really well. I’d use one on your face and then one around the back of your neck. Like the other person mentioned, you can use some saline solution to help keep them moist and that can help cut down on pain. Rubbing your temples, under your nose, above your eyes, and cheekbones should help too. Drinking a ton of fluids can help too but avoid anything dairy because that can make sinus pain worse. I know it’s hot out but a hot shower where you get a lot of steam is another thing you can try. Good luck and hope you feel better!

Q: What over the counter medicine could I take every day to keep sinus headaches away?
I have sinus headaches every day. What could help me.

A: I would try Excedrin Sinus Headache first, which consists of:

Acetaminophen……………………….Pain reliever
Phenylephrine HCI 5 mg …..………..Nasal decongestant

or, if that does not work then I would go with Sudafed and Tylenol:

Sudafed consists of:

pseudoephedrine HCL 30 mg…………Nasal Decongestant

Tylenol consists of:

acetomenophin 500 mg………………..Analgesic

Note that it does not matter whether you get name brands or store brands, they are all the same with exception of excipients an dyes.

Also if you are under 18, then you cannot get the Sudafed without an adult.

And of course, if the problem presists for more than 10 days, you need to go see a doctor because you may have a more serious issue, or you may require some Rx medications to best help treat your symptoms.

Q: how do I deal with sinus headaches?
Lately, I would wake up with sinus headaches and pressure around the eyes and cheeks in the morning. Then sometimes I’ll sneeze a lot lately and get a funny feeling in my throat and I’ll have nasal congestion. But usually, after getting rid of the sinus headaches, I’m fine. How do I deal with sinus headaches and keep them from coming in the morning when I wake up, other than medication?

A: All the above. benadril at night or claratin daytime.
I get them too feels like someone stuck an ice pick up my nose clear to the top of my head. the allergy meds help some. In the morning when you shower let the water as hot as you are comfortable run on your forded. Sometimes a hot wet washrag helps, the humidity helps. When you sleep that stuff can’t drip and collects.

Q: Home remedies to relieve sinus headaches?
I am on antibiotics and nasal spray, but i need something to ease the horrible pain when i get the headaches. I just got alieve cold n sinus-D but is there any home remedies? (that work!?!)….and i’m 15 so make sure its possible for me to do!

A: Celestial Seasonings “Sleepy Time” tea. It has chamomile in it, which is great for relaxing muscles. Also, blood thinners like aspirin, spicy foods and vitamin C will do the trick.

Q: Any help for sinus headaches which seem to be barometeric related?
Anti inflammatory meds seem to help, but my body gets used to meds so they stop working. When air pressure drops,so do I from reality.I used to have migraines,so I know these are not migraines
Spring, fall, last 2 weeks of the year & 1st 2 weeks of the year are the hardest times for me
Right before rain is here (storms are worst!)Bad times also when I’m dizzy, nauseated,& weak.Sometimes I collapse in weakness. At times my ear canals ring, feel pressure or even hurt.
Drs just give me antihistamines, which sometimes work on allergies, but never for sinuses. The only time I ever get sinus infection is when I have this 3 days. But these headaches almost always last 4-6 hours. No comfort,no relief
Airplane take off/landing make me real dizzy,&I feel sinus pressure start. It’s gone soon after landing
As a kid, in elevators,I would squat in the corner with my head in my hands.I’m adult now, still get a bit dizzy, but not bad.I have more body mass
Any ideas?
Correction, the headaches last 4-16 hours

A: oooooo dont get all technical with me

Q: Is drinking while having sinus headaches and pressure bad?
So im going to this party tonight, but im starting to have a sinus headache and sinus pains. They’re not terribly bad, but i took a 12hr sudafed this morning. Would it be bad for me to drink tonight? What are some foods that help sinus pressure and headaches go away? Any suggestions would be greatly apperciated

A: The only things that really helped me was when my Dr. told me about a sinus wash that will kill bacteria.I did this this morning and am going to do it again soon. Sinus infection is very painful and will really respond to this treatment,
you need

distilled water
sea salt
liquid chlorophyll and colloidal silver from the health food store.
in a glass mix 1/4 cup water with a pinch of salt and heat to body temperature.
add 5 drops each silver and chlorophyll and mix.
using a large dropper (like one used for infant medication) drop 2 full droppersfull into one side of the nose while laying down.
Turn the head and let it drain out the other nostril. Be sure to have paper towels handy.
The silver kills the bacteria and there are several hundred kind that can live in the sinus cavities and anti biotics don’t get rid of them all.
Do this twice a day for a week, mixing up the mixture fresh each time.
Then do it once a week for maintenance.
There is nothing in this that will hurt you, and it cured me.
I do not have to take claritin, or antibiotics anymore.
best wishes

Q: What’s the best way to prevent waking up with sinus headaches in the mid of the night? Happen only after sleep
Lately I have been waking with sinus headaches, always behind the left eye. They only happen when I sleep. I’ll sit up for about a half hour and they eventually go away. I rarely get them, but lately I’ve had them for about a week straight. Is there any way to prevent them before going to bed?

A: go buy a humidifier. Walgreen’s ultrasonic one is the BEST! I use it in my bedroom myself. I used to get the same headaches, but they stopped when I got the humidifier. They’re only 30.00 so it’s worth the risk just to see if it helps you.

Q: Can changes in atmospheric pressure cause Sinus Headaches?
If one already has sinuses that are usually on the verge of creating sinus headaches, can changes in atmospheric pressure (such as that created by the movement of weather fronts) increase the pressure in one’s sinuses, thus causing sinus headaches?

A: Yes, I agree with the last answer. In fact, I live in one of those bad sinus areas too. Often what will help is to massage the sinuses, this will loosen mucus and relieve pressure.

Also, poor neck alignment can predispose someone for more sinus problems. These neck pillows can help neck alignment keeping the sinus pathways open as well as keep nerve flow to the sinuses at its best – http://www.arc4life.com/

To massage the sinuses simply rub in a circular motion or back and forth above the eyes, underneath the eyes, and across the forehead; mostly where you feel the headache.

Q: What is the best nonpresription medicine for sinus headaches?
I usually get really bad sinus headaches that also include stuffy nose but no cough or watery eyes. I have been taking guaifenex which I believe is the generic of pseudovent. Basically pure pseudophedrine. This has been very helpful but it is getting harder to find. Ive heard the government is trying to convince drug makers to stop making it because of the meth problem.

A: try this, it works for me.My husband uses this to keep from getting bronchitis, and I use to to cure sinus infections. THere are many kinds of bacteria that live in the sinuses, and this gets rid of all the bad ones!.This is the only thing that really helped me — my Dr. told me about a sinus wash that will kill bacteria.

Q: When I take allergy medicine I develop strip throat/sinus headaches?
I have post nasal drip, and I’am scheduled to have a septoplasty and a turbinate reduction in two weeks. But I’m curious to know why is it that when I take allergy medicine I develop strip throat and sinus headaches all the time? Allergy medicine really dries up my post nasal drip, but leaves me with a strip throat and sinus headaches on and off. I was wondering why this is?
Laura, you’re an idiot.

A: Try this instead.

Q: What is the best thing to do about sinus headaches?
Every time I go to bed or even taking a short nap, I wake up with a terrible headache. I’ve realized it’s a sinus headache and goes away usually an hour after I get up and move around. What would help me or better yet, get rid of this problem?
Great answers, Thank you so much!!!

A: I have been suffering from sinus headaches for years, so I know what I’m talking about. How did you come to determine that these headaches are sinus-related?

First off, see a doctor. You can go to your general practitioner and get recommended to an ear, nose, and throat doctor or a sinusologist (or someone who is both). They will probably do a CT scan or MRI and try to determine if it really is sinus headaches. You may need to see a neurologist just to rule out anything else.

As far as medicines, I use Sudafed to control sinus headaches. Make sure you get Pseudoephedrine not Phenylephrine. That’s the one you have to buy from behind the counter at drugstores and show your ID for (at least in NY you do). It is not prescription, though. You could also try Mucinex, instead of Sudafed, if you wish. Nasal spray is also really important. Your ENT might prescribe for you a steroid nasal spray, such as Nasacort, along with an antihistamine, such as Astelin. Both need to be taken diligently following your doctor’s instructions.

For quick headache relief, try Excedrin. The combination of acetaminophen, caffeine, and aspirin is absolutely amazing when it comes to fighting headaches. If you don’t want the caffeine, try plain aspirin. Also, I’ve found that lying down with a heat pack on the area of my head that hurts helps to relieve my headache.

Remember, see a doctor before trying to self-medicate.
Best of luck!

Q: How can I get rid of a sinus headache? I’m pregnant, so I can’t take my usual medication?
I get major sinus headaches and infections. I’m dealing with one now. I usually take Excedrin regularly when I have one and that helps, but I can’t take aspirin. All I’m allowed is Tylenol, which never helps me! My entire face and head hurts, and I seriously need some relief. What can I do that doesn’t require medication?

A: Sinus headaches are caused by a combination of several things. Swelling due to infection, blockage of nasal passages, and inflammation of the blood vessels. You can temporarily relieve these symptoms by doing the following:

1.) Take periodic steam baths. One every six hours can thoroughly clear out your sinus passageways, and loosen nasal mucous. Boil a gallon or two of water, and pour the water into a heat safe bowl. Place the bowl on a table (shield the surface with a towel). For optimum effect, add chamomile tea, or a tiny bit of menthol, peppermint or eucalyptus oil (available at candle stores, whole food stores, and sometimes in the food section of your grocer). Get a thick towel and a timer. Set the timer for 10 to 15 minutes, cover your head and the bowl with the towel, and inhale deeply. Your nose will start to run fairly quickly, and after you clear it, keep inhaling through your nose as much as possible.

2.) Use Vick’s vaporub products. There are inhalable products you can spray into your nose. Don’t worry about interaction, they are just menthol, mint, eucalyptus, etc. The product won’t harm the baby. If that doesn’t work or you can’t find it, use the topical stuff and rub some on your chest. It’ll help clear you out.

3.) You can temporarily alleviate the pressure by pinching the bridge of your nose, and simultaneously pressing your tongue to the roof of your mouth. I am not sure why it works, but it does.

If you have a sinus headache for more than a few days, you should go to the doctor. It may mean that you have a sinus infection, and it would be a good idea to get the infection under control before it gets worse. You may also have developed an allergy, not uncommon for pregnant women. Though you won’t want to take allergy medication, your doctor may be able to help you figure out what you are allergic to, so you can get rid of it, and hopefully get some relief.

Q: Can Migraine headache pills also work for sinus headaches or any other severe headache?
I take treximet for my migraines but I also get sinus headaches with severe pain.
the treximet got rid of the headache I had like that in less then an hour.

A: Treximet should only be used for migraines. The naproxen in the combo might help your headache some, but the sumatriptan only works on migraines. You should try a decongestant to help relieve the pressure (such as Sudafed- and not Sudafed PE) and can use Tylenol or an NSAID (naproxen, ibuprofen, etc) for the pain. If this combo still doesn’t work for you, talk to your MD or pharmacist.

Q: I have a sinus headache and i want to take Ibuprofen but i took Claritin allergy. Can i mix the two?
What happened was, i took Claritin Allergy medication that last 24 hours but i found out that the medication is not working and i do not have allergies. Now i am stuck with not being able to take different medication for my really bad sinus headache…

A: I think it’s OK. Call your local pharmacist; they’ll tell you.

Q: I have a sinus headache, is there anything I can do to ease the pain while waiting for medicine to kick in?
I’ve been getting really bad headaches at night, and I just went to the doctor today. They said it was a sinus headache and gave me some medicine. Any ideas to ease the pain while waiting for the medicine? Thanks!

A: Well, hopefully the medicine is kicking in but you might try a warm, wet cloth over your eyes or a hot shower.

Q: Is this a Sinus Headache? Moved from warm to very cold climate recently, have had headache in forehead & neck?
Was wondering if this could be sinus headache? Otherwise in great health. When I wake up and most days I have headache in forehead, back of neck and feel like I need to blow nose although not much in nasal…..just like water. Thank you.

A: A couple of thoughts. Try nasal irrigation and if it’s a sinus headache you will stop waking up with it. In cold climates people don’t open windows and doors to ventilate so there are a,lot more airborne particles. You could be breathing these in causing the sinus congestion, sinusitis and/or sinus headache. Air out your bedroom. Also make sure there is not mold in the bathroom or your bedroom. Most sinus infections are caused by fungi not bacteria.A sinus headache would not likely involve the back of the neck. Maybe you are sleeping differently in this house and straining your neck. You could have two problems going on. Just some possibilities. Nurse Kindheart

Q: What sinus headache medication can I take during pregnancy?
I have a really bad sinus headache. Tylenol isn’t working. I was wondering if any pregnant women out there took Sudafed and have been fine. I also would like to know if any pregnant women out there took TheraFlu and been OK too…
Thank you

A: I have really bad seasonal allergies which give me sinus headaches if I don’t take medicine. I normally take allegra which is a drug that they are unsure if it will affect the baby or not so I don’t take it. The doctor told me to take claratin. She said this would not harm the baby. I’ve been told don’t take sudafed in the first trimester, but it’s fine in the second and third trimester. Try the link below, it tells which meds are safe while you’re pregnant. Good luck and Congratulations!

Q: I need a home remedy for a bad sinus headache!?
I can’t get to the store today, and I have a bad sinus pain headache. Is there a home remedy I could try? I don’t have eucalyptus oil (someone had told me to try boiling it and breathing the steam but I don’t have any). I keep putting a warm towel on my face and it feels good, but as soon as I stop the pain is there again. Help! This is so uncomfortable.

A: boil water in a pot and while it’s boiling pour some vicks into the boiling water and snife it, make sure to have a napkin in handy you will have a running nose. try it it works.

Q: what can i buy to help with sinus headache?
i have a horrible sinus headache in my temples for the past 3 days. Im at home from work today. my hsuband said he will pick me up somethng from the store on the way home but i dont know what will help this? Anything at Rite aid or CVS pharmacy will help?

A: Here is a link to a home remedy site that can help. But if you take a pot of boiling water and put your face above it with a towel over your head and breath in the steam through your nose it will provide temp. relief.

http://www.indianchild.com/home_remedies.htm

Q: Best way to get rid of a sinus headache?
Okay I’ve been having really bad sinus headaches since 2006 and I went to have a CT scan the other day to see if it was sinuses and it was. So…I have an appointment in the net few days but these headaches are killing me! What is a remedy I could try?

A: Stand in the shower, and let the water hit you in the face. The hotter the water, the better. then lay down, and have someone rub your face around your sinus areas. Under your eyes, around, and down the sides of your nose, cheek bones, and have them apply a little pressure, when they do it. If nobody is available, you can do it yourself. It just wont be as effective.

Q: does a sinus headache need to be treated?
i have a sinus headache(I think),yesterday it was more severe and i took some advil to relieve the pressure, today after waking up about an hour and a half ago i haven’t really felt the headache but i still feel the congestion in my nasal cavity. the headache is still their but it feels really mild. does this type of migraine need to be treated or will it go away by itself.

A: Hi Joshua, Glad you are feeling better. There are ways to release the pressure using acupressure points. If you have a look at my facial massage page you can find them there. This should empty them properly rather than just mask the pain.

Let me know if you need any more help.

Q: What sickness would leave you with a sinus headache, sore muscles, dizziness, hot/cold flashes and fatigue?
I was at work and I had cold and hot flashes, so I thought maybe I had the flu so I went home. I’ve had a mild/moderate sinus headache for a few days as well as dizziness. I looked up flu and cold and both are accompanied by a cough, which I don’t have. I don’t have a sore throat either. Can anyone tell me what’s wrong with me?

A: Sinus infection with fever; bacterial.

Q: What home remedies can I use to help a very bad sinus headache?
I’ve got a sinus infection, and I’m on anti biotics. I suffered with it for almost 3 weeks before getting on the med.’s,..( I hate going to the dr.), and I guess it has gotten worse! I’ve only been taking the anti biotic for 3 days, but along with it, and before it I’ve tried Benedryl,Advil Sinus,Tylenol, nothing is taking away the pain and pressure! The pain is behind my eyes, and pressure in my head, and forhead. I’m a wife and mother, so dealing with this kind of pain has me crazy!!!!! Please help, any suggestions??????

A: Boil some water and put it into a bowl. Put your face over the bowl and a small towel over your head to keep the steam from escaping. Breathe in the steam and it should help you. Sorry, but some sinus headaches caused by infection can last two weeks or more. You may need a stronger antibiotic- get a super one like ciprofloxacin.

Q: How can I get rid of a 4 day sinus headache while im pregnant?
I have had this headache for 4 days now. I have taken tylenol, sudafed.
I even tried my grandmas old wives tale of putting vicks on my forhead, and cold rags, but it just wont go away.
I usually take hydrocodon because Im prone to these headaches but im pregnant so I cant do that at the moment
please help

A: My husband uses this to keep from getting bronchitis, and I use to to cure sinus infections. THere are many kinds of bacteria that live in the sinuses, and this gets rid of all the bad ones!.This is the only thing that really helped me — my Dr. told me about a sinus wash that will kill bacteria.
you need

distilled water
sea salt
liquid chlorophyll and colloidal silver from the health food store.
in a glass mix 1/4 cup water with a pinch of salt and heat to body temperature.
add 5 drops each silver and chlorophyll and mix.
using a large dropper (like one used for infant medication) drop 2 full droppersfull into one side of the nose while laying down.
I do not have to take claritin, or antibiotics anymore.
best wishes

Q: how do you get rid of pinkeye and sinus headache and ear infection?
I am so lucky as to get a cold which turned out to be ear infections. that was almost done when i got a sinus infection. and then this morning i woke up with pinkeye. what do i do? why do i get all these infections all at once?

A: your immune system is depressed, consider adding some liquid vitamins to your routine. Also, you probably need to see an ENT specialist…sinus problems can be very difficult to treat.

Q: What can I take besides acedomeniphine for a sinus headache during pregnancy?
I’ve had this headache for 5 days now and I’m starting to go a little crazy. I can hardly sleep. I’ve tried hot and cold compresses – switching every 30 seconds for 10 minutes and it didn’t do anything – all 3 times that I tried. I need medication!
correction – acetaminophen
I am 17 weeks along!

A: You can take sudafed but with nothing behind it such as sudafed PE. I asked my dr. and the pharmacist. Its safe I use it occasionally

Q: Having migraines, REALLY NEED HELP/ADVICE… please?
I’ve been having migraines that I feel are getting progressively worse.

I have been to the doctor. He prescribed an antidepressant, and a pill for when I actually get a headache. The latter doing nothing. I take the antidepressant every day, like I’m supposed to. I’ve been on it for about five weeks, which is when I last went to the doctor.

I’ve been keeping track of when I get them, but I can’t really figure out what is triggering them.

I think I’ve narrowed it down to sensory stuff, like persistent loud noises (like the past few times I’ve left the cinema I’ve had a migraine and loud music has triggered it twice…I think)really bright light and reading for long periods. Either its coincidental, or I’m supposed to be confined to a dark, quiet room for the rest of my life?

I don’t have any allergy problems and I’m not emotionally unbalanced. I’ve heard that stress can cause it, and depression. I also heard that certain foods can trigger the, but I haven’t figured out if any do.

I had a migraine that started half way through the day of last Thursday. I took some Extra Strength Tylenol, which is all I had on me. It lessened the pain to something in between barely noticeable/tolerable, but only for an hour. I had to go home. I took a nap, and when I woke it was WAY worse (it woke me…)

I was pretty much disabled. I was nauseated and actually vomited. I’ve been nauseated with basically all my migraines before, but have never actually vomited. I also had a slight fever of 100.6. I also felt extremely weak. Like with nausea, I’ve felt “weak” before, but not to this extent. I basically strained to move any part of my body. I ached all of over. My migraine was a full on 10 (1-10 scale) in pain, the highest was like a 7-ish). My entire head was pounding and it felt like my brain was being squished (or what I think it would feel like). I dragged my self to the kitchen after vomiting for some water because my mouth was dry. I then basically collapsed on my sofa, where I was double over cuddling with a throw pillow. I felt like screaming, the pain in my head was so bad. I was dizzy and confused/out of it from the pain.I know my father came home and actually suggest the ER. I shrugged the suggestion off as I don’t think you can go to the ER for a migraine? But I seriously considered it.

I remember waking up the next morning at like 10AM…still on the sofa. I have no clue what . I felt kind of hungover, with a lingering pain in my head.

I had one almost as bad on Monday It started in the morning and lasted until halfway through Tuesday. I was basically bedridden.

Most of my migraines before are pretty bad, but not as bad as the last two. I’ve had a few that last a couple days. I’m not sure if I’m having that whole aura effect… but I see little lights, like dots and sometimes flashes. It also seems like theirs a gnat/some kind of small bug that is at the top of my vision, kind of like a bug floating around your head. I’ve swatted at the “fake gnat” before. My vision is also blurred a bit when I get migraines. I’ve never really had tingly/numbing sensations.

Is it possible that there is some cause to this? Could I have a tumor (extreme, sorry?)? Do I schedule another appointment with my physician? Can he refer me to like a neurologist or some other specialist? I’m not really sure where to go or where to read up on this. I’m really, really scared. I actually fear getting migraines and they’re so common, like two or three times a week.

I need advice because like I said I have no clue where to turn.

Any help is very much appreciated.
PS-

Sorry for this being so long. I tried having as much information as possible.
PPS-

Sorry, for second edit :/ *more info*

I don’t know if its related to my migraines, but it seems as if so. I seem to get “cravings”. Like I’ve craved Ben & Jerry’s, Fudge Rounds, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Sweettarts, etc. It seems to be a couple hours before my migraines, kind of like a warning?!

A: Sorry but I just couldn’t read the whole thing, too long. But from what I read (a lot of it) this sounds like typical migraines to me. At least the type I have! You’re right, loud noises, bright lights, stress, red wine, chocolate, PMS, lot’s of things can trigger a migraine. You need to try another migraine medication until you find one that works for you, tell you doctor to give you a different prescription. There are so many out there to try. And yes, you CAN go to the ER for a migraine. I’ve had to go many times, and be given Demerol to cut through the pain. It really helps! The ER staff would always be so kind to me, put me in my own room, dim the lights, and place a cool damp cloth over my eyes un til the doctor came and gave me my shot. Oh, and I throw up too. Keep keeping that log, you may eventually see a pattern in what’s causing them. Good luck, I know the hell you’re going through.

Q: What bands did you love when you where younger then dropped later in life?
I used to love bands like mastadon and Slayer but when I got older I found that I got migraines from that type of music. What Bands are like that for you?

A: They don’t give me migraines but Godsmack. I used to listen to them a lot after hearing their single “Straight Out of Line” and that was about four or five years ago, I still like them I just really haven’t listened to them in a very long time.

Other bands include Hoobastank, CKY, Rob Zombie, Lostprophets (older stuff). As my musical tastes drastically evolved over the years these bands didn’t really fit anymore. Granted I did pick up Lostprophets new album and that got me back into them.

Q: How long a does vertigo last for migraines?
cus ive been having weird hearing problems when it comes to music

A: i don’t see what that has to do with vertigo.

but you could be having an aura ( proceeding or during) a migraine. or an aura that goes with some of the more subtle forms of epilepsy. or synesthesia.

Q: Does anyone else think that rap is not music at all and is just plain awful?
I could not listen to that junk for more than two minutes without getting a migraine.

A: Then don’t listen to it. I feel the same way about Reggae but different people have different tastes. I;m a big fan of things that would probably make your head explode but that’s fine.

The thing I don’t like about rap is the sampling but it’s really no different than rock music stealing from all the old blues players and everyone else musically piggybacking of the people before them.

Q: I get migraines a lot when i listen to headphones..?
I used Sennheiser in-ear headphones, and listened to music very frequently..
I have stopped listening to headphones for about 4 months now, and I haven’t had a migraine since, could the problem be due to things being that far into my ears, or simply the volume of the headphones?
Regards,
Tom

A: I would say that the most likely the volume of your music is too loud because your ears are not used too hearing such loud music, and when you put music on so loud, it causes your brain to have a major headache….even if you listen to music very loud and nothing happens, just listen to your music at a low volume just to be on the safe side. i would suggest listening to your music at a low volume, and using headphones instead of earbuds…….
From major music lover,

Q: Non-medicated treatments for migraines &/or insomnia?
Anyone out there tried & can safely endorse non medication, do anywhere treatments to get rid of migraines? Preferrably something that might need to be done at a cubicle-like work environment? Also any non-medicated tricks for helping get back on track to a normal sleep pattern? Have already tried the usual warm milk, reading, puzzle books, relaxing music, play games on computer, etc. (PLEASE KEEP YOUR ANSWERS CLEAN, MY CHILD MIGHT BE READING OVER MY SHOULDER) THANKS!

A: Essential Oil of Lavender is very helpful for both headaches and insomnia. Dilute it in olive oil or another pure vegetable oil and rub it on the bottoms of the feet or the neck. You can find pure essential oils in most health food stores, or at www.saje.ca GOOD LUCK!

Q: cause of my migraines?????could it be the computer?
i was getting migraines frequently for six months. and the last few months, i was getting them every day, lasting most of the day. i tried taking advil, tylenol extra strength, and a few others. but nothing woudl work. so i went to the doctors told them how i had been getting headaches for about six months. i waited so long before going to the doctor because i thought they would go away, but they never did. i was complaining to my mom every day so thats when she took me to the doctor. my doctor didnt know what the cause of them was, but he prescribed me Amitriptyline hcl 10mg. at first i was told to take one pill each night. it worked great the first few weeks, but then stopped working. so the doctor told me to take two. the same thing happened, now im taking five each night.
i have a horrible migraine right now. and i’ve had it pretty much all day.
what do you think is the cause of my migraines?

my mom is always nagging me that im on the computer too much. when i get home i like to sit in my room and just chill and be alone. i live w/ my parents and seven siblings and its pretty chayotic here. i dont sit and stare at my computer all day though. i just leave my msn on and when my friends message me, i msg back. thats it.
and i might watch tv or listen to music also.
and i’ve heard that computers can cause headaches. but can they cause migraines?????

A: Because you’re getting them constantly. I would tell your doctor to please order a CT scan and/or MRI. If not, ask your doctor to please refer you to see a Neurologist.

I just started going for acupuncture to see if that will work for me. It works for some people. I’ve also heard others say that seeing a Chiropractor helps them. Neither are a quick fix. I believe you need to go several times before you notice whether or not it’s really working. In the meantime, you need something to help relieve you from the pain though. Another friend of mine who gets them just told me a day or 2 ago that her neurologist put her on Zomig. It works for her and she doesn’t have any bad side effects from it.

Q: Migraines & Stress? ?
I’ve been having migraines/serious headaches for about 2 weeks now. I already went to the doctor for it, and he said it was my diet and/or stress. I cut back on what he thought was making me ill, however, nothings working. I take a couple tylenol when I get home, and then go right to bed for a 3 hour nap. I’m thinking it’s my classes that are making me stressed which give me headaches/ migraines.

I’m 15 years old and in highschool. My most dreaded class is my public speaking course, and I’m hoping to get some help on how I can reduce stress or deal with the stress that comes with it.

Other: Noise, music, sudden noises, and light also irritate my head and make whatever I have worse. I usually go down to the nurse between 2nd block and lunch and sit in the backroom where its nice and dark. I’ve also been having breakdowns(random bouts of crying and/or anger).

Help?

A: When the muscles in the neck and head routinely tense up, it constricts the blood flow to the nervous system, leading to migraines and headaches. It is very important to ensure that the muscles and tendons in the body remain relaxed and calm, so that common nervous tension can be addressed.

Furthermore, our ability to stay a head, remain healthy and free of aches and pains also depends on a very important organ in the body – the liver. A healthy liver helps to eliminate toxins from the body, as well as to store important nutrients and maintain healthy digestion.

Your doctor is right; the importance of diet and lifestyle cannot be stressed enough. A healthy diet and regular exercise help to keep your body and mind in tip-top shape, maintaining healthy circulation, reducing the effects of stress and helping to keep all body systems in good shape. Continue on a healthy routine; your body needs time to adjust.

It is also important to eat at regular intervals during the day to sustain healthy levels of sugar in the blood, and to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day to keep the brain hydrated. Always avoid skipping meals.

To support nervousness with your class, many of the same techniques can be used. Eating a balanced diet containing adequate vitamins and minerals can go a long way to promoting balanced mood and the ability to deal with stress. Feelings of being over-sensitive, delicate or ‘overwhelmed’ can also be aggravated by a lack of sleep. Drinking 8 glasses of water and exercising regularly will also release feel good chemicals in the brain and support a positive attitude. Practice and relaxation techniques can also be effective in reducing fears, which often can stem from the unknown.

Natural remedies have been used for generations to support a healthy brain, nervous system, circulatory and liver functioning and can be of great benefit for maintaining health in these areas.

Tanecetum parthenium (Feverfew) is a well-known medicinal herb and one of the most widely respected ingredients to support the nervous system and routine blood circulation. Feverfew contains a range of compounds called sesquiterpene lactones, the principle ingredient being parthenolide. Recent studies suggest that this herb contains supportive properties for the nervous system.

Silybum marianus (Milk Thistle) is frequently recommended to support the liver. Milk Thistle contains a flavonoid complex called silymarin. Silymarin has anti-oxidant properties and can support liver functioning. This is a crucial component of overall systemic health as the liver is one of the most important organs in the body.

Passiflora is used to support the nervous system. The active ingredients in this herb include flavonoids, cyanogenic glycosides, alkaloids and saparin. Like St John’s Wort, Passiflora has also stood up well to clinical studies which support its traditional usage as a moderating herb. Furthermore, Passiflora incarnata has been used in other therapeutic settings with good results. Passiflora is traditionally regarded as nature’s help for frazzled nerves!

Aconite (30C) is used in cases where the onset of symptoms are experienced suddenly in people that are normally healthy and well-adjusted. Physical symptoms often follow feelings of unease, edginess, and/or sudden temperature changes. This remedy suits those individuals that tend to feel an impending sense of doom and jumpiness.

Always be sure to obtain natural remedies from a reliable, trustworthy source to ensure safety and maximum effectiveness.

Q: Why does my head hurt so badly?
Every time I laugh for a long period of time or I listen to loud music( I am around in loud places) I get really bad migraines for the rest of the night..Why?

A: I think you need to consult w/your Dr about this….I have no idea.

Q: Using Excedrin for Migraines if you haven’t been diagnosed?
Twice in the past few months, I’ve had a headache that just feels horrible… my head aches and throbs and I’m sensitive to light and sound. It seems to be brought on by drinking Diet Coke and/or being around bright lights and loud music… perhaps even a combination of the two. It starts gradually and gets really bad. I have been sick to my stomach both times I’ve had this headache.

My question is, is it safe for me to take Excedrin for Migraines if I have not been officially diagnosed with migraine headaches? My mom bought me a bottle of it without really reading the specifications.

A: The symptoms you’re complaining do explain a migraine especially if you’re a female in your teen years. Most times migraines will hit right about then. It has to do with the changes your body is going through right now. Coke has caffeine and this can be a factor along with the others you mention, but they also point to other things. Have you ever had any head injury’s at all? I’m wondering if it might also be some petit mal seizures going on. The symptoms are the same. Either way you need to see a doctor asap. With both there’s medication that can control the problem, and you can sometimes out grow them as you get older. It all depends on the doctors diagnosis.
BTW- It’s safe to take any OTC medication as long as you take it as directed. If you have any doubt just call the pharmacist, they’re always happy to answer your questions. Good luck

Q: Constant headaches and migraines?
So, I’m fourteen and I am really sensitive to headaches and migraines. I get them easily and I get them bad. I almost get a headache a day. Headaches tend to run in my family and they do seem to be getting worse but my symptoms seem very different than everyone else. For instance my dad gets maybe two headaches a week (tops) and he normally gets them at the end of a stressful and strain-ful day. Normally when his back hurts and similar problems; i tend to get them for considerably less intense reasons. For example I get headaches in crowds, or if there’s alot of noise, or if there’s flashing lights, or if i go too long (a couple hours) without food. Or similar things. I also tend to have different tactics to help my headaches feel better. Most people like a hot shower, some fresh air or a drink of water to help a headache as well as being in a dark, quiet, environment. I normally have a cold shower (not too cold) and fresh air tends to make it worse. Water doesn’t make it worse but it doesn’t help either. Most doctors warn against drinking or eating something with caffeine because they say it will make the said headache worse, but caffeine tends to make mine better and i normally retreat to my room which is dark, but i find that having loud music on makes me feel better than silence.

Now at a party the other day one of my little cousins neighbors and I were talking about my headaches and she gave me this big fancy term saying that I might have it because I seemed to show alot of the symptoms. I said I’d google it, but of course I forgot it. I tried finding it on my own but to no avail, so I’m stumped.

Anyone know of some sort of disorder (or something similar) that has the symptoms i listed above?

A: I am Dr Prateek Nayak . I am a Consultant in ENT and Head and Neck Surgery practising in Bangalore ,India.
Since you seem to be getting headaches daily it is best to get yourself evaluated as you are suffering unnecessarily. It may be migraine or something else.Do meet a neurologist /ENT surgeon /physician.
All the best

Q: How to avoid headaches in concerts?
hi,
im 14 years old and i just went last night to my first ever concert, after the show i suddenly got a huge migrane and i think thats from all the loud music that was playing for 2 and a half hours.
How can i avoid getting migraines before they trigger?

A: Take some aspirin and put in some ear plugs, you will still hear the music, but it will be softer.

Q: chronic migraines…help?
okay i always get them but never 4 times in a row four different ways. My question is what can i do other then medicine to get rid of it? im getting desperate looking for natural remedies or anything. Someone suggested wearing a certain rock around my neck but they didn’t mention what kind.
i work in a retail store bright lights loud music. im sure that’s not helping because the dr.’s have told me i have sensitivity to lights because i have light grey blue eyes. but this is just too much and now its effecting my life.. help
thanks in advance im willing to try everything and anything so best answer will just go to the person who put in the most information thanks againx!

A: I understand your issues. Tinted glasses may help by reducing glare. Also I use the Heads On Migraine which seems to decrease symptoms. Caffine will also help by increasing blood flow after you start to feel the migraine come on. I also received some relief after seeing the chiropractor or having a professional massage and letting them know about my problems before hand. The alternative methods are not reliable and deal more with you believing they will work than any proven fact. There is a pressure point at the L between your thumb and first finger that is supposed to coordinate with relieving headaches though. You can massage it with your other hand or have a friend massage both hands. I hate to see people buy magnets and stones that don’t really do anything, when they really need honest help.

Q: Please review article for me? Want to get it published in a magazine/online.?
Hi, I want to be a journalist and I’ve started to practice writing articles. I chose a simple subject of a paramore concert and it’s written sort of colloquially. It’s not finished yet but I wanted an opinion on anything I can do to help me write better. I wrote this in about 15 minutes and I’m 16 so don’t expect some sort of grad-student paper! lol, thank in advance peoples xx

Overwhelming sense of affinity? Migraine-worthy loud music? Where else would you find these qualities than a concert? I awkwardly twist my head somewhere to the right and there’s a six-foot tall, skinny-as-a-twig guy with what I can only assume is a rainbow Mohawk un-gelled. He’s jumping in time with the beat and punching the air. On one of my clumsy off-beat jumps, I glimpse a sea full of people doing exactly the same as rainbow-guy. I’m at a concert with my best friends having the time of my life. It’s hard to believe that just two hours before I was scrambling through my haystack of a wardrobe trying to find my ultra-tight skinnies and using more ‘hairspray’ than they did in the film to try and get my waist-length hair to stay ‘poofed’ (I only managed the former and later gave up on the latter). I’ve checked my mental list of things to take with me about sixteen times: phone, tickets and some spare money for a drink. I can’t take anymore because I don’t want to lose a bag. Hmm. I’ll have to store them in my bra or pockets. I know it’s strange but do I really have a choice? No. Ok, let’s go!
Standing outside, clutching my ticket, legs are cold (I changed my mind about the skinnies and opted for a checked dress). Yeah, great decision-making Mel, my mind taunts at me. My friends are wearing shorts, at least I’m wearing tights, I chant back at myself. Then realize I’m talking to myself, first sign of craziness. Stop it. Some boys are coming down the line, and before I shout out ‘Hey stop pushing!’ I realize that they’re handing out leaflets about their band. And they’re insanely hot. I take my holy grail…ahem…leaflet from them, smile and almost faint when the singer smiles back at me. Please move on before I’m knocked unconscious…

A: The writing’s not bad, but I don’t know what you’re going for. If you wanted to write a first-person account of attending a Paramore concert, then you succeeded. If you were trying to review the concert, then you failed horribly. A review should have your opinions of the band and their music during the concert, but a first-person account would be more like a blog entry telling about what happened to you that night. Like I said, if you wanted to write a first-person account, then you did pretty well.

Q: AP Music Theory help?
I am a senior in high school and this is the first year they have ever offered AP Music Theory. I’m so confused on things we learned last semester. I had a C+ first quarter and almost failed second quarter but ended up with a D. I survived the semester with a C-. Now onward to my question!

Our first two chapters were pretty easy. Chapter 1 was over Pitch and Its Notation and Chapter 2 was over Rhythm and Other Aspects of Notation. Chapter 2 was a little tricky but Chapter 3 was where I really started to ride the S.S. Failboat. lulz.

Chapter 3 was over Scales, Keys, and Intervals. Scales and keys were easy until we broke it all down. I’ve always understood the chromatic scale, the Circle of Fifths, how to figure out key signatures, etc. The things that confused me were things like:

-Harmonic minor scales
-Melodic minor scales
-Natural minor scales
-Parallel major/minor
-Relative major/minor
-Diatonic interval
-Dissonance
-Enharmonics (intervals and keys)

Our second unit was all about Harmony and I started to feel like I shouldn’t have signed up for the class because we started to talk about figured bass, dominant seventh chords; diatonic triads in major and minor keys, functional tonal principals; harmonic cadences, embellishing tones, principles of harmonization.

Now we’re in Unit 3 which is voice leading and I am currently failing. I’m very confused on voicing and voice leading, nonchord tones, suspensions, and most of all doubling!!! Please help!!! Please!!!

Sorry for making this so long and causing a migraine to anyone who actually cared to read. Thank you to all who help! =]

A: Do not worry, I will explain it all to you. I love music theory and I’m doing well in the class….so hopefully I will be able to clear things up for you.

I am going to demonstrate this in the key of C just because it makes things a lot easier.

so you have….
1—-2—3 –4—-5—-6—7—-1
C—D—E—F—G—A—B—C

NATURAL MINOR (the most common minor): flat the third, sixth, and seventh of the major key
so for c minor you would have
C D Eb F G Ab Bb C
because you are flatting E (the third), A (the sixth), and B (the seventh)

HARMONIC MINOR: flat the third and the sixth of the major key
so for c harmonic minor you would have
C D Eb F G Ab B C

MELODIC MINOR: This scale is different on the way up and on the way down. On the way up you flat the third only. On the way down you flat the seventh, the sixth, and third. So essentially on the way down, it is exactly like natural minor.
this is what you would get for c melodic minor
C D Eb G A B C (on the way up) and then C Bb Ab G F Eb D C (on the way down)

RELATIVE MAJOR/MINOR: If I were to ask you to find the relative minor of C major you need to memorize that the answer would be A minor. From that you can figure out everything. I hope you play piano because that would make this explanation SO much easier. If you go up 3 half step from A you get C. So basically to get the relative minor key from a minor scale (which essentially means, find me the minor scale that has the same key signature as this major scale) all you need to do is count down 3 half steps.
So if I tell you to find me the relative minor of Eb major….it would be C minor. Because you count 3 half steps down.
If I tell you to find me the relative MAJOR of G MINOR…..it would be Bb major. Because you count 3 half steps UP. (I hope you noticed that I switched up the question there)

PARALLEL MAJOR/MINOR: This is much easier. Basically if I ask you to find me the relative minor of c major the answer would be c minor. If I ask you of G the answer would be G minor. Easy right? But how do you determine how many flats are the c minor scale? Just count up to find the relative major and since you know how many sharps or flats are in each major scale (at least you should) then you will be able to figure it out. The relative major of C minor is Eb major. Eb major has 3 flats so you know that C minor also has 3 flats.

hmmmm….this is turning into a very long answer lol. I wanted to answer something because I was feeling down but I don’t think I have the time to address everything…so I will really quickly tell you about voice leading, since that is what you are currently studying.

BASIC RULES FOR FOUR PART WRITING:
NEVER EVER EVER EVER have parallel fifths or octaves. That is the number one rule in all of music theory. I hope you know what I mean by that. To simplify things for you I am going to shorten the rules….there are so many rules. But DO NOT think of it that way. I never do, it just gets too confusing. I am going to tell you always to double the root. Whenever you have a chord just double the root. If you have a dominant chord (which is the five chord) you MUST NOT DOUBLE THE THIRD (that is the second most important rule in all of music theory). If you double the third your are doubling the leading tone which just does not sound good.

NON CHORD TONES: just a note that does not belong in the chord
so if I give you GBDC
what would be the non chord tone? it would be C. because the chord is GBD and C does not belong in there…

SUSPENSIONS: if I give you a chord CEG but then I have an F in there and the F goes to an E. That is a suspension. Here is how you can tell. The C, the E, and the G will all be written with the same measure, lets say a quarter note (just to simplify things). The F, however, will be an eighth note. And the F will go to an E, that is also an eighth note. The reason it is a suspension is because it is prolonging the chord. In this particular example it is a 4-3 suspension. Because, how many notes is F away from C (the bass note)? Four notes! And how many notes is E away from C? Three notes!

I hope I could help….I guess I answered this question in such detail so I could avoid my own problem =[…but now I just have to go deal with it. I hope I could help. And I hope you do better in music theory…at least you are a senior, this will be over soon.

Q: Migraine relief……..?
Does anyone know any migraine treatments apart from the conventional ones?
Thanks

A: hi cleocat,

this is going to sound silly but tie a tie or scarf tightly around your head, it releaves the pain-has something to do with pressire but i always find it great!

best of luck!
xxx

Q: migraine relief?
hi. i have a really bad migraine, and nothing is helping. i’ve tried caffine, so please don’t suggest that. any suggestions?

thanks.

please hurry!!

A: Take Excedrine Migraine or the generic version. Make sure it includes acetaminophen, aspirin, and caffeine in the active ingredient list. It will work, always does for me, even with the really bad migraines. Make sure you take it with plenty of water.
Hope this helps for the next time!

Q: How can I achieve severe migraine relief after trying so many medication combos?
I have at least 2-3 severe migraines a week. Over the past 3-4 years they have continuously increased in frequency and severity. I have been on numerous combinations of medications to stop and prevent the pain with no relief. At my neurologist’s request I have even tried Botox. I was hospitalized for 5 days in November with a Dihydroergotamine (DHE)(migraine med) and Reglan(antinausea med) IV hooked up to me. I’m tired of taking meds that don’t work and I don’t want to start taking pain meds on a regular basis just to get through the day. My quality of life is next to nothing. A few weeks ago I had a day where I woke up before 7am on my own, I felt great and was full of energy up until around 8pm when my migraine cam back with vengence. I have become so accustomed to feeling bad that I wasn’t aware of how bad until I had that day. I want my life back. What other alternatives may be out there to help me?
I’ve tried several low dose antidepressants, low dose blood pressure meds, low dose anti-seizure meds and other preventitives. I’ve tried Imitrex, maxalt, epidren, fioricet, DHE injections, Zomig as well as others for the migraines and they don’t help. I was put on actual antidepressants before thinking it might help the situation and it made it worse. I became emotional and moody as a result. The low dose antidpressants were the same. Pain meds are a joke! I take them and they don’t really touch the pain, just make me dopey if even that and that’s only the first few times I take it then it doesn’t work and I would need to take more each time to feel any effect. I refuse to go there. It seems to me that my body adjusts to any meds so quickly that it’s not effective or I will have a reverse effect.

A: First I just want to say I am so sorry for your pain. I don’t think anyone knows how much migraines can mess up your life unless you have them.
Mine started lightly when I was 8 years old. At 17 they got bad enough to start the testing/doctor/drug part of my life. Like you, nothing worked and they kept getting worse. At 21 I moved to Germany. After my bf watched me suffer 3-4 migraines a week for months, he made me go to a homeopathic doctor. In Europe homeopathy is thought of as well as western medicine. Let me tell you IT WORKED!!! I was very skeptical, in the US we are taught that homeopathy is a bunch of herbs and silliness. It really is about finding the root of the problem instead of treating the symptoms. I now only get a migraine when I get sick and my body is tired from fighting. Please look into this. If you find a REAL homeopathic doctor who knows their stuff, I promise your life will change as mine did. I got my life back, I hope you get yours too.

Q: Ive had a migraine for a week, whats the best migraine relief?
I have had surgery on my jaw to correct TMJ, so my jaw is supposed to be in good shape but the left side has been bothering me quite a bit recently, and im goin to the dr next week about it. I also have neck pain along with my migraines and Im hoping its all connected to my jaw….but i need some relief until i go to the dr.

I have tried: excedrin migraine, vicks chest rub on my forehead, cool towel, quiet dark room, sleeping etc. But i just wake up with a migraine. Ive had one for about a week now.
Well i was just at my general dr last week and she checked my sinuses and all was fine. Also all my blood work was perfect, so Im assuming it is all connected to my jaw. If I go gt help now, won’t they just give be rx meds and send me on my way?

A: If you have repeatedly taken excedrin migraine, you may be causing something called rebound headaches.

Try a warm bath and put warm moist heat on the muscles of the cheeks by the ears, under the jaw and behind the neck and base of the skull. If it is related to these muscles, the warm heat will force the muscles to relax and help. Plus, when you are in pain, you tend to tense those muscles and make a bad migraine worse.

warm moist heat: one of those heating pads you throw in the microwave with the azuki beans or rice in them will emit that kindof heat; or just use a heating pad; or one of those rubber water containers you can put really warm water in.

Consider going to urgent care or the ER if you have insurance. Your copay might be 100 bucks (or more) but it might be worth it, right? They’ll give you a shot and you’ll be allright.

Oh and she’s right about the orgasm.

Good luck, I feel for you.

Q: Anyone have suggestions for migraine relief?
I get 2 to 3 migraines a week these days and daily headaches. I’ve seen regular doc, neurologist, hypnotherapist, and therapist….all to no or little relief. Sorry to seem dramatic but I don’t know how much more I can take and am ready to end it. If it weren’t for my family I would have done so long ago.

Any suggestions for relief??? I’m at the end of my rope.
Thank you for the suggestions. I’ve had a few people suggest trying a chiropractor but I just don’t trust them. Maybe it’s time I did?

I had back surgery in 2005 and it seems that is when the headaches intensified. I think I will make a call this week.

Thanks again….

A: Have you tried a chiropractor? They aren’t for everyone but they help me immensely after my accident. My hubby also has seen them on and off for yrs, usually if he starts getting lots of migraines something is out in his neck. A couple of sessions and he is good.

Q: Is The Migraine Relief a scam?
I searched the net to find a perfect cure for my recurrent migraine. I came across with an e-book on “The migraine relief”. I am afraid to buy it. Have anybody already bought this book? If so, is it useful? The migraine relief scam is a hype or real?

A: I actually used to suffer from migraines a lot and I tried all these drugs and so called cure your migraine ebooks but none worked except The Migraine Relief. Where I was getting migraines every day after reading The Migraine Relief I now only get them once every 2 weeks which is better then nothing. So, to answer your question. Is The Migraine Relief a scam? No!

Q: what is the best customized vitamin company focusing on migraine relief ?
Looking for Vitamins , minerals and herb or anything else that would assist in managing migraine.

A: was advised by my pharmacist to take womens multivitamen. i am a migraine sufferer and i have given up coffee, chocolates, deep fried foods, ice drinks, wines especially red wine. i also find that drastic changes in weather(strong winds) agrivates my migraines also hunger.

Q: Any recommendations for migraine relief? My girlfriend has painful debilitating migraines once a week. ?
Sometimes she has to be hospitalized they are so bad. Prescription medications do not help much.

A: She needs to visit a Neurologist. There are migraine specific medications they can try with her. Two I am familiar with are Zomig and Imitrex. They are in the Triptan class of medications. There are also anti seizure medications used as preventatives. The Triptans are used once the migraine has started or when the symptoms are starting to appear.

I don’t know if she has had an MRI or CT Scan to evaluate her brain, but if not, she needs this done to make sure there aren’t any other problems.

I hope this helps. I wish her the very best. I used to suffer from migraines on a regular basis. I deal with them every few years now. For me, Zomig works the best.

Q: Quick migraine relief. Any suggestions?
I’ve had a migraine since yesterday morning and nothing i’ve tried has gotten rid of it such as excedrin. I can’t take tylenol or anything weak like that because it does nothing to get rid of my migraine. This migraine I have now is just on the left side of my head. Does anyone know any quick remedies to relief the pain?

A: turn off the lights in your room, get a small towel and wet it with cold water, ring it out gently then place over you eyes and relax

I hope you feel better

Q: How can I relief the pain from migraine?
My mom is always suffering from the pain caused by her migraine. Are there any ways to at least relief the pain besides tablets? She always drinks them but they don’t always work. Any idea would help.

A: http://www.neurologyreviews.com/feb04/nr_feb04_foramen.html

Q: Has anyone tried the “n2 Migraine relief Balm” does it work?
It’s a product for Migrain relief, and it’s sold as a natural health item.

A: what might work for one person, won’t necessarily work for you and vice versa. maybe u can buy the product and if it doesn’t work, take it back for a refund.

this i DO know works … when u feel a migrain coming on, bring urself to orgasim and it will get rid of it. there have been many articles on it and i’ve heard it talked about on Oprah. i wouldn’t have believed it if i hadn’t tried it. i’d tried all types of prescriptions for it. best wishes.

Q: Is there any relief for migraine headaches?
I get a migraine headache almost every time it rains. I’ve seen doctor’s for the headaches, but nothing seems to help.

Does this happen to anyone else and what do yo do to relieve the headaches?

A: I get them sometimes and when i do i take a shower it relieves some of the painif that doesnt work take medicine and eat(not junk food) and have water

Q: What’s a fast relief for migraine?
I think I have migraine. My whole body, especially my head is sensitive to all touch. I get this sharp headache and it would bit every now and then. D:

What’s a fast method of relief that will make me feel better by tomorrow?

A: Green tea will get rid of a headache in about ten or fifteen min.I have not had a headache in 4 years because I drink a cup a day as a preventive. I don’t know how or why it works , I just know it does work.

Q: Looking for a “natural” Migraine relief?
I get migraines every few months and it usually takes a couple days to get rid of it. I have popped Advil for so many years, and now I worry about the effect that will have on my liver.

Does anyone know of any more “natural” relief ideas for getting rid of migraines? I’ve tried cola (caffeine), chocolate, and other caffeinated things.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

A: Both apple cider vinegar and Coenzyme Q10 (taken every day) are supposed to prevent migraines.

Q: Does anyone know good migraine relief/prevention?
What drugs/remedies are the most effective for dulling the excruciating pain and what are successful ways to prevent them from occurring?

A: For prevention of migraines, there are some medications that are available that will reduce the frequency and severity of the migraines you experience. A general rule of thumb is that if you get 2 or more migraines per week, you need to be taking something to prevent them. There is a drug called Amitriptyline that is very effective at reducing the number of migraines you have. It is an old tricyclic antidepressant, but is used frequently for preventing migraines. You only have to take it once per day at bed time.

As far as treating a migraine that has already set in, this is what i do and it helps me tremendously. Immediately take your prescribed medication, lay down in a cool dark room (kick the AC down for a couple of hours if you need to) place a cold wet washcloth over your eyes, an ice pack to the back of your neck, and put in some shooting range rated ear plugs to block out all the noise around you. Once you have the earplugs in, start to focus on your heartbeat and count them. This will distract you from the pain and allow you to fall asleep. I do this and 97% of the time it works for me to get rid of the migraine. If you do not have a prescription for abortive migraine medications, you need to discuss this with your doctor, There are some very good medications out there to treat migraines once they have set in. I take Maxalt MLT because it melts in your mouth. If you get nausea and vomiting with the migraines like I do, it is the best option because then you do not need to worry about throwing up your medication.

Q: Why do I get Headaches From Video Games?
OK well, When I play my Ps3 games such as 1st person and 3rd person, after 20-30 min i get dizzy head hurt and body feeling hot.? Why is this? Do i need to see a doctor?

A: You don’t need to see a doctor. You need to take breaks and not play so long at once.

Q: Headaches from video games?
Ok … so I play video games like for 5 minutes and I get a headache… it usually isn’t from all video games.. just the ones like first person shooters or rpg’s of some kind… they feel a lot like the headaches when i get motion sick so that is what i always say i have… sometimes i even get the headaches from watching tv if it does a lot of quick turns and such.. does anyone know whats wrong and how i can fix it?

A: Sensitivity… read the Warning on the Game Manual… you should probably go see your doctor. But, you can just take a break as often as you think possible and resume your game playing. If these headaches continue please go see your doctor.

Q: why do I get headaches from video games?

A: Perhaps from eye strain, or stress, if you take it too serious.

Q: Does anyone know how to reduce headaches or eye problems from video games?
I received Sega Genesis Classics for PS2 for Christmas and fell in love with Phantasy Star 2. The only problem is the battle scenes with the flashing red screen. Seeing as how the battles are a big part of the game, I am disappointed to have to admit it, but I most likely will not play the game anymore. Does anyone have any advice?

A: Some people are just more prone to those types of problems, In 20 years of playing video games I have never run into a game that bothered me that way, but I have some friends that play certain games for 20 minutes or so, and they get really flustered. Nothing much seems to help them. I do know of a few things that helped some of the problems.

You can try wearing sunglasses when you play, it might change the flare of the light enough to ease it off of bothering you.

Make sure you were well hydrated and awake when you play, I had one friend who could not play video games after say having a few beers and being out half the night, but if he played in the morning and had a glass of OJ, he was good to go for hours.

Follow the manufacturers guidelines, and take a reast every 30 minutes or so and see how it goes.

Q: Motion sickness from video games all of a sudden?
I’ve been playing video games mostly everybody all my life and I never ever ever got motion sickness from it. I recently got guitar hero world tour for christmas and i played it for hours and felt dizzy and stuff. now it seems ever since i played that i get a headache, feel nauseous, and dizzy from pretty much any game. what should i do? how do i make it stop? i’m a gaming addict so I don’t like to stop playing!
i don’t eat a lot. is that a reason too?

A: Go to your local opticians for an eye exam.

You might need glasses!

Q: why do I get headaches from playing video games?

A: It’s the illusion of virtual motion.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_sickness#Simulation_sickness

Q: Can you get motion sickness from video games?
I recently experienced really bad nausea and headaches after playing Silent Hill 3 and 4 and its odd, because I never get like that playing any other game, and I’ve played Silent Hill 4 before this and had no problems, its just recent. Does anyone know anything about this?

A: Definitely. I used to get motion sickness from older, low quality video games. To keep from getting motion sickness its best to keep your eyes moving back and forth from the game to a stationary object or television. This usually works for me.
If this doesn’t work and the motion sickness persists you might have an inner ear problem.

Q: Why am I starting to get motion sickness from video games (particular first person shooters)?
I have always had a slight problem with motion sickness. I used to could usually play an fps for 3+ hours without having this problem. Now, I can’t play more than one hour without getting headaches and I begin to feel dizzy. I have to lay down or eat/drink something. It’s almost always first person shooters that cause it. No other genres. Could it be because of my new tv? It is a 70 something inch, big screen, plasma, hd tv. (If that matters) I also just got a new Xbox (I went from pro to elite). I sit about 3 feet away from the tv, but used to sit about 5 feet away. Could the tv be the problem? Or could there be something wrong with me.
What should I do?
Do you think that if I play under these circumstances every day longer each time, could I get used to it?
Can you even get used to motion sickness?

A: could be due to your proximity to the tv plus it being large and hd. there’s nothing wrong with you, its just messing with your equilibrium. people have issue with seeing movies like cloverfield in the theaters but not so much on a smaller screen at home fore that reason.
to help, you need to have some stability in your perspective, like if its on a smaller screen and you sit farther back, you can counter the motion on the screen with your surroundings which stay put and you shouldnt have much if any problems.

Q: How far should I sit from my 22″ HDTV when I play video games?
I got this problem while playing video games on my 22″ 1080P HDTV. Firstly if I sit too close to my TV such as sitting 40 centimetres away from the screen then I always have to move my head around so I can see everything on the screen such as the health bar and when a cutscene comes I always have to move my head around to be able to see the entire screen as well as moving my head down to read the subtitles. I mean it really hurts my neck when I have to move my head around and it doesn’t feel very comfortable.

However when I sit around 1 and a half metres away from my 22″ HDTV then I still have to move around my head around during the cutscenes to see everything on the screen. But during gameplay it is good. Another major problem is when I sit this far from my TV at this distance is that during high action sequences such as when there is a cutscene of a car chase it really gives me a headache, the same happens when I sit close to my TV. But when I used to play games on my 15″ SDTV, high action sequences used to look great and never gave me a headache.

I also tried sitting half a metre away from my TV but these problems still occur. Also if I sit around 5 metres away fom my TV then it is extremely difficult to play games since it is harder to see everything on the screen and I often have to squint.

I never used to have these problems when I used to play video games on my 15″ SDTV. I used to sit about a metre and a half away from my SDTV and games used to look great! But I dont want to play video games on my SDTV since these new games would not look very good on a SDTV.

So my question is how far should I sit from my 22″ HDTV while playing video games to get the best gameplay and viewing pleasure?

Any help is very much appreciated. Thank You.

Q: why do i get sick when i play video games?
I was little and i had a nintendo gaming system i played it fine ( i still do) but ever since systems from n64 and up came out the only system ive been able to play with few problems is the game cube. i’ve tried to play playstation …ps2…wii..n64..psp and most computer games (all except 2d computer games) all these systems give me extreme headaches and really bad stomach aches …does anyone know why or have similar problems?

A: I have had this problem too. Lots of people do. Its called simulator sickness and supposedly its a form of motion sickness, although I get it and i’ve never gotten carsick or seasick before. I could never play 3d graphics games though.

Q: How far should i be sitting from a 46″ 1080p tv?
I have headaches while playing my video games. id like to find out how far i should be from this tv?

A: About 10 feet.

Q: HDTV, CRT TV and Video Games (need advice)?
I only want a TV for two things: hooking up my video game systems (SNES, Wii and PS2) and watching DVDs. That’s it. No blu-ray, no cable, no Xbox 360 or PS3.

Yesterday, I bought a 22” Samsung HDTV Series 4. Hooked it up. Tried various settings for several hours. Small text in most of the older games looks almost double-vision and unclear. There is also some sort of motion blur when playing both older and newer games.

Is there something wrong with this TV or is this “normal”?

I just want a simple TV to play games on and watch a DVD every once in a while, and this is turing into one big headache. CRTs are discontinued except for the crap they sell at Walmart (I tried that first, and both RCAs were defective, and the Sansui too, so I am not going to bother with CRT TVs from Walmart anymore).

Is there any setting I can use on this 22” Samsung HDTV Series 4 to make my games clear and not blur, or if there is no way to fix this, is there another brand of HDTV that is specifically made for playing games if this type of motion blur and unclear small text with older games is “normal”?

At this point I don’t know what else to do except search on craigslist for an old TV, which I’d rather not do due to bad past experiences with craigslist. Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

A: Oof that’s a tough one. I myself am looking for a crt tv, JUST for my old nintendo, snes, genesis, etc consoles. I don’t have one, and I’m using my projection tv for them, and not my plasma, for the same reason. There isn’t really anything that can be done except, well, getting an ol’ tube tv…and by old I mean used. Sucks..but thanks for pointing out the crap crt tv’s at walmart. Never liked walmart anyway..

And just to point out, trying out a plasma might work a bit better than on an lcd since lcd’s have that blur problem, and plasma’s don’t. I don’t use my plasma since the games look more pixelated than what they are already. But I don’t get any motion blur of any kind.

Yes motion blur is normal on lcd displays without the 120hz features. And even with 120hz refresh rate, you may still get it.

Q: All my fiance does is work part time and play video games!?
My fiance and I have been together for 4 years now. We are both 19 and 20. We live together and have since last year. I love him so much but ti seems like he loves his game so much more than me. He wakes up in the morning and goes right down to his computer to play his video games. Games like warhammer, age of conan, and world of warcraft. Days when he works, he wakes up plays his games until he has to get ready for work, goes to work comes home and goes right back to his computer. He stays in his office the entire day besdes getting food and something to eat. He never comes out to see what I am doing or to visit or anything, if I want to see him I have to go to him and he doesnt even really pay attention, just plays his game. The only time we spend together is at night when he is tired and wants to go to bed. Maybe if we’re lucky we’ll watch a movie, or atleast a little bit of tv. I want to spend more time with him, he even said he wishes we spent more time together but said “i know it’s my fault that we don’t because I play my computer so much. I mean seriously though he spends like 6-1`0 hours a day on his computer WHEN HE WORKS, and when he dosent its from like 9 am to 9 pm. Its not fair. I get upset because we don’t spend a lot of time together and he says I need to find a hobby. I play the games with him sometimes but I have awful eyesight even with glasses and I get a headache after a little while so I have to stop. And when i used to play with him he was always playing longer and once he got a couple levels past me he jsut said well im levels beyond you so its hard to play together. What do I do? I’m just so confused..

A: You and your fiance have already invested a lot of time and a good portion of your lives to each other and your relationship, so I can understand that you don’t want to simply quit and move on. Still, from his current actions and behavior, it doesn’t appear that he’s willing to compromise or help you meet *your* needs.
Perhaps you can both work together to set (and keep!) some boundaries or rules that are comfortable to both of you (e.g. no video games until you’ve had a nice one-hour dinner and talking time together each evening or something similar). However, realistically, I don’t know how long you’ll be willing to put up with this unbalanced give and take unless he’s willing to make some compromises for the sake of you and your relationship. Please believe me that if you move to the next level in your relationship and you get married and/or have children, your relationship and communication will become more negative as pain and anger replace love — and you communicate with each other less and less. I’ve personally lived through this myself.
You, therefore, might want to consider going for private or couples counseling so you can work on yourself/yourselves and your relationship and learn some good tools and techniques for better communication. (We usually don’t learn these needed skills from our parents or other family members <sigh> because *they* never learned them either!)
There are some good low-cost therapists and counselors available. Most States require an internship period before therapists can be licensed, so this might be a good option if you don’t have it in your budget to pay for a more expensive psychologist. If you’re interested, check with your local university, free clinic or mental health office for referrals. This could be a great start — and you’d have an unbiased and trusted person who could listen to you and help you sort through your conflicted feelings. You love your fiance, but you’re also very disappointed and troubled by his behavior and the negation of your feelings and needs.
There are also some excellent resources online that may be good for starters. At http://www.selfcounseling.com/help/Relationships/, there are links to some articles and topics on relationships, etc. You can also do a web search for other helpful resources.
There’s also some free relationship help at Dr. Harville Hendrix’s Imago website at http://gettingtheloveyouwant.com/couples/free-relationship-help. He and his wife have been featured on “Oprah” and his “Getting The Love You Want” book and workshops have helped countless people and their relationships over the years. Buying this book or borrowing it from your library might be a great start!
Your fiance may have an addictive personality which keeps drawing him to his video games. Thankfully, he doesn’t have addictions to drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex or other potentially destructive habits. Still, this probably doesn’t give *you* much comfort since your needs aren’t being addressed or met. Many people have received help through Al-Anon when they live in a relationship where one or both partners have addictive tendencies. To learn more about Al-Anon, you can go to their website at http://www.al-anon.alateen.org/english.html or find a meeting in your area or online at http://www.al-anon.alateen.org/meetings/meeting.html.
A natural part of growing up is going through various developmental stages including narcissism and rebellion or defiance of authority. Since you and your fiance are growing up and, hopefully, maturing together (although not necessarily at the same time), you might want to learn more about these stages. There’s a good definition of narcissism at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissism, and you can do a web search for additional websites about narcissism and rebellion/defiance of authority. You certainly don’t want to be setting up the dynamic in your relationship where *you’re* his “mother” (who is bossy, nagging, b*itching, withholding love, judgmental, punishing, etc.) and he is the child (who is rebellious, withdrawn, angry, shamed, etc.). A good “crash course” in psychology is available at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outline_of_psychology and elsewhere online.
Your fiance might also be experiencing some form of depression since he seems to be exhibiting certain behaviors/symptoms. These are listed at http://www.webmd.com/depression/guide/depression-types and at other sites online. Depression is usually a biochemical imbalance in the brain, and he can get some help but may not know he needs it.
If you work on yourself and you explore your own needs and wants, etc., you might come to the conclusion that you no longer want to be in this relationship and that you deserve more and better. However, you might also find that, as you change and “improve,” your fiance might want to, as well. Then you can grow and change as individuals and as a couple while you love and support each other.
It feels very lonely to be in a relationship where our needs can’t be met, but you can learn to meet your own needs in healthy, positive ways with other friends and support people as well as through hobbies, outside interests, activities, work and volunteer services. Just listen to your heart and you’ll always make the right choices!
You’ve written that you’re feeling confused, but you might also (and legitimately) be feeling angry, abandoned, frustrated, hurt, resentful, neglected, and a whole lot more! Explore these feelings and continue to bravely look for and find answers. Your life will be better for your courage and willingness to be honest!
I truly wish you and your fiance the best!

Q: What is with certain men and woman with their emotional abused with porn or video games?
I have had great guys who looked at porn and respected me in my past. Now I have one who I also told was it was ok, I was one who has us watch one together. I have been with him for 8 years on and off…he keeps hiding if from me. I know he does because he starts yelling. Raped me in my sleep after I keep asked him to stop…kept doing it…I found hard porn by accident on our computer..over and over-its not even when I am looking for it…I try to blame the video games and that they “anger” him. but I dont think most guys are like this…rubbing his thing raw so they can’t have sex with their lovers. So we can’t even have sex…I left…he got me back. Why I am pretty-so what if I am? NO man or woman should be lied to or abused emotionally or physically.

He is just more angry everyday…just like back when. Only now I have an (yeah right) “excuse” I was in a bad car accident. My air bag didn’t deploy on time. When my head hurts he treats me with guilt trips that I can’t put out. Not that he hurts me with sex anymore, but “I should put an American Flag in your pussy because I never get it”…I have burns you can’t see, just because I don’t whine like a baby like he does when his back is hurting…am I wrong to think I am dealing with a sociopath?

Most women claim a headache. He has seen my actual skull-less then 3 months ago…and now everytime I want to have sex he doesn’t want to…but when I am in pain he gives me guilt trips. What am I dealing with?

A: What the? Call the police if you were raped, why are you on Yahoo! Answers??

Marco!

Q: Are these headaches from eye strain?
These headaches normally occur behind my eyes and are very painful. It intensifies with light and movement, and it is usually accompanied by fatigue and nausea. I usually get these when I’m on the computer for a long time or playing video games, plus I’m near sighted and wear strong prescription glasses. Because of this, I assumed it was simply eye strain, but sometimes it just happens

One time, I participated in the Model United Nations conference and I was sitting down listen to people debate for about three or so hours, but I wasn’t staring at a fixed spot. I was switching between close and far distances (if that makes sense) every so often and I got this headache. I removed my glasses and it relieved only a little bit of the pain. After the conference I laid down and rested for about forty five minutes but it didn’t help in the least. When I decided to go to a drug store I had thrown up and my limbs were shaking. I did take some Motrin after that and a couple of hours later I felt okay. I still had the headache but it wasn’t as bad. It fully went away after I slept that night, like it normally does with or without medicine.

I get a normal amount of sleep every day (6-9 hours), and eat well. Sometimes these headaches occur multiple times a week or once a month. I’m not sure if this info will help but I’m a 15 year old girl, I have TMJ (however, I’ve gotten these headaches before I was diagnosed with it), and the pain seems to be slightly relieved when I apply slight pressure on my eyes. So are these headaches from eye strain or something else? Anything I can do to prevent it?

A: Staring at a computer screen for a long time can cause eyestrain, irritation, blurred vision, and headaches. However, several studies conclude that these problems are temporary. To make them less likely:

Blink often, rest your eyes with momentary glances away from the screen, and use eye drops if necessary. Staring at the screen tends to reduce your blinking and thus dry out your eyes.

Avoid glare from the screen by using indirect lighting, repositioning the screen, or using an antiglare filter over it.

Make sure your monitor produces sharp, crisp images. Fuzzy screen images increase eyestrain.

Get special glasses for your computer work if necessary. If you wear bifocals you may be tilting your head at an uncomfortable angle to see the screen through the lower portion of your glasses.

Consider buying either a liquid-crystal-display (LCD) monitor or a regular monitor with a high “refresh rate,” both of which ease eyestrain by flickering less than other monitors.

Yes. The strain of prolonged staring at a computer monitor can cause those blood vessels to become engorged, creating the illusion that new ones have appeared. Your eyes may also feel dry and itchy. Resting, drinking plenty of water, and reducing eyestrain should resolve the problem. (Consult an ophthalmologist if the symptoms persist).
I hope this helps you. And good luck.

For more information about: detox diet visit the migraine headache site MyBrainPain.com today.

Q: detox diet?
ok I am planning on going on a detox diet for 3 days, instead of drinking junices and vegetable, I do plan to eat them. I plan to eat fruits salad and vegetable salad, drink soup, water and fruit juices for three days. I know I need to detox becasue I have dark circles, pimples, stomach gas, and bad breath. do u think after going through this diet, this problems i have would be eliminated?

A: I just finished doing a detox which sounds similar. I only ate fresh fruit and vegetables, beans and legumes and drank heaps of water and green tea. I didn’t take all the pills and potions that you get from the health food shop but just ate really good food. I did it for 6 days and felt absolutely fantastic afterwards with heaps of energy. You need to make sure that after doing detox that you do start to eat a wider variety of healthy foods such as fish, chicken, lean red meat and dairy products again. I have managed to keep off the caffeine and alcohol and reduced the amount of red meat I eat and replaced it with fish (although I still do eat red meat a couple of times per week). Not sure if all your problems will be eliminated but it certainly can’t hurt and you will feel fantastic…good luck!!!

Q: Detox diet?
I’m on day 2 of a detox diet and I am suffering from headaches, nausea and fatigue. Is this normal, why is it happening and how long do you think it will last?
I am only eating fruit and vegetables for a week. From next week I will be allowed meat and other foods.

A: Sounds like you really needed to detox. Yes, this is normal because all those toxins are being stirred up in your system. Drinking lots of pure water is really important during this time so you will flush this out through your kidneys. How long these symptons last will depend on how many toxins in your system. Everyone is different. But you should begin to feel better in a few days. Try to rest as much as possible in a dark room to help the headache and fatigue. If you don’t have to take anything for the headache and nausea you will be better off because you will only be adding more toxins into your system. Hope you feel better soon.

Q: Detox Diet?
I was wondering if theres a really easy detox diet to follow. i heard its really great especially for losing weight and thought i would try it out. Any simple detox diet would be great. thanks in advance.

A: This Detox diet offers a 30-day or 9-day cleanse to detox your body. You also lose weight and inches from your waist too. For more information click on link

Q: DetoX diEt?!?
i want to start a detox diet and i was wondering if anybody new any “drink” recipies of stuff i would already have at home and one that will keep me from being hungry anyone now of any or has tryed one??

A: “the master cleanse” is the best one out there. made from very basic ingredients.

cleanses your ENTIRE body, and has even been documented to cure diseases.

Worked great for me, but you may feel like total crap for a few days while you detox. its normal, but do it when you dont have work or something. 10 days is the minimum, but most of it, you wont be sick. go to your health foods store and ask them about it, or find the book. its short and cheap, and you wont find a better cleanse out there. it nourishes your entire body, and can even help you quit smoking and craving unhealthy foods.

Q: How do you start the detox diet?
I’ve been trying to find out more about the detox diet, but I can’t seem to find enough about it online.

Is anybody on this diet?

Does it really work? I heard that you can lose ALOT of weight in such a really short time! Is that good for your body, considering that you are on a diet?

How do you exactly go about doing this diet? I heard that the diet ranges anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks. So what do you have to do and/or take while on the diet?

A: If you are really looking for the best detox diet, I suggest doing what this mom did

http://saraweightlossblog.blogspot.com/

Q: How do you start the detox/ water diet?
I’ve been trying to find out more about the detox diet, but I can’t seem to find enough about it online.

Is anybody on this diet?

Does it really work? I heard that you can lose ALOT of weight in such a really short time! Is that good for your body, considering that you are on a diet?

How do you exactly go about doing this diet? I heard that the diet ranges anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks. So what do you have to do and/or take while on the diet?

How much water am i supposed to drink each day?(not including the water in the mixture)

Can you eat lemons?

Is Cayenne pepper/ginger an essential ingredient or is this just to taste, can you have it without?
I’m not saying that I’m going to give the diet a try. I just want to know more about it before seeing my doctor and/or actually starting the diet.

A: You don’t! Going on any extreme diet like the following can be damaging to your body, just because Hollywood stars do it, it does not mean it is safe!

You have to get that “diet” image out of your head. You need to rather think in terms of “healthy eating”, and you need to include resistance training / cardio. There is no easy way out. People are always seeking for the magic pill / forumla that will help them lose the weight but this will lead to failure. If you are planning to lose muscle/water, then I suggest you go on the diet (well not really!), but what I am saying is if you don’t care about your health, then by all means go ahead. But if you do, then don’t go on it.

I have attached the following link, which explains how you should lose the fat the right way, though it is basic article, it tells nearly everything you should know. Remember anyone can lose a heap of weight in a short period of time, but you have to ask yourself “How much of it was fat?”. A majority of the time, the answer would probably be “nearly none”.

http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/m_111175/mpage_1/tm.htm

Q: What is a good detox diet that i should try without major health risks?
I’ve looked into the lemon detox and it can apparently make you feel run down and gain wait after it is complete.
I can deal with only drinking liquid i can manage fasting.
Also i am bad with sticking to a diet unless it tells you what to eat and when, like a good guideline roster.
Thanks
I dont really care if they are a scam thats not the question i asked is it?

A: Try an all-natural diet. Limit the bad fats and sugars. Going on a fast or “detox” diet isn’t going to do your body much good.

Q: How long does a detox diet take to show results?
k so i just started a detox diet yesterday…today sucks…i woke up with stomach cramps, and i had diarrhea.yuck…..i feel really tired and weird…i know this is your body cleaning itself out but how long does this last? and i was wondering how long it takes to see results from a detox diet? Anyone who has been through one? any tips???

my diet consists of:
green tea(no sugar, no anything, just the tea)
fruits,
vegetables and,
lots and lots of water.

i will be doing this diet for 1 month.

A: Fad diets, starvation diets, fasting, and diet pills do not work. Any diet that is temporary will only produce results that are temporary at best.

Losing fat any faster than about 4 lbs a week is impossible. Any additional weight you might lose would either be water weight, or your muscle atrophying.

The only way to lose fat is a complete lifestyle change where you stop doing what made you obese in the first place and adopt healthy eating and exercise habits for the rest of your life.

Detox pills, and detoxification and cleansing in general, are neither useful nor necessary unless you have had long-term narcotic use or are chronically constipated. Detoxification and cleansing has no proven medical benefits for the average person whatsoever. It will NOT help you lose any significant amount of fat. Your intestines are clean unless you use large amounts of muscle relaxers, or have serious digestive illness.

Q: where can i find some detox diet recipe?
my husband and i are planning to detox diet for a week. but i cant seem to find any recipes online.

A: http://www.living-foods.com/recipes/ has a great site that you can pick many recipes off of. I just completed a two week detox and this site was a blessing. Remember, no wheat, dairy, meat, caffeine or citrus fruit.

Q: How does a diet detox make you feel? How extreme should it be?
I’ve found several detox diets, ranging from a week to three months, and from all fruits and vegtables, to only certain ones and salt water. I was wondering if anyone has been on a detox diet before, which kind it was, and how it made you feel. Feedback? Suggestions?

A: you outline one problem with detox diets; there are about a million of them (I exaggerate a bit).

What are your goals? For a simple detox, your goals should be to eliminate the toxins that are residual in your body (such as insecticide, herbacide biproducts, addatives, formaldehyde constituents, animal hormones, antibiotics, etc.)

That being said, you don’t need anything very severe. What I recommend for the majority of my patients is the Whole Food Farmacy detox. It’s a modest 13 days, includes essentially everything needed, and is achieving great results. Many people have the added goal of weight loss, and the average case I’ve had loses weight.

I’d be happy to answer any more specific questions you might have with detox diets. I will say, some are simply alarming and downright dangerous. So do be careful!

Q: How can a do a detox diet at home by myself?
Anyone who had done a detox diet, tell me about it. Did you notice changes?

A: If you are really looking for the best detox diet, I suggest doing what this mom did

http://saraweightlossblog.blogspot.com/

Q: Is the lemon detox diet safe and does it work?
I’m wanting to do the lemon detox diet but i just want to make sure it’s safe and just wondering if you’ve done it before how much weight did u lose?

A: It’s proven to not work and it may be dangerous.

Q: Are Orovo Detox diet pills effective, and more importantly, do they have any side effects?
Im 18 and 5ft 7. I weigh 134.5lbs (9st 6lbs), however I am extremely unhappy about my weight I want to lose at least 14 lbs (1stone). I maintain a healthy diet, however I have read about the diet pill Orovo Detox and was considering using it to aid weight loss. I just wondered if anyone had tried it and whether it proved to be effective or just a waste of money. Also, are there any risks?

A: The guy above me just copied everything that he said from this website:

http://www.webhealthanswers.com/Orovo/

Anyway, I’ve bought them and if you’ll wait a week, I’ll tell you if I’ve lost any weight or seen any results- personally. I will be honest and upfront about everything that goes on while i’m taking the pills. As a matter of fact, I’ll keep a daily blog- if you want me to. Contact me and let me know if you want to set this up. This is my first day of taking these pills. Let me know if you’re interested!!

Q: What does the lemonade detox diet involve?
Basically, I want to do the lemonade diet – I think. I have a vague idea of what it involves but I’m unsure about how to make the lemonade. Also can I eat any other foods while I’m on the detox and if so, what are they?
P.S. I appreciate all the comments warning me about how bad fad diets are. But I’m not doing it for weightloss, I’m thin. I’ve heard that flushing toxins out of your system has other benefits.

A: fad diets. So bad for you. Why don’t you just lose weight the healthy way? Eat healthy lots of veggies, lots of water, cut your sugar intake, watch your fat intake! Exercise!! do 3 30 min cardio, and 2 strenght training sessions a week to get your muscles strong. that will boost your metabolism. I know that isn’t what you wanted to know but doing this lemonade diet isn’t going to work. You might drop some weight (probably water not fat.) but once you get off the diet your body will gain it all back.

Q: Does a detox diet help to kickstart a weight loss program?
Would anyone recommend or comment on a cleansing/detox diet they’ve done.

A: I did a 3 day detox last year. It was tough but totally worth it. You may have seen it on the internet, it’s called the master cleanse. First you will need a gallon of distilled water, 2 lemons, 2 table spoons of cayenne peper and 2 teaspoons of grade B pure maple syrup. Distilled water, cayenne pepper, and lemon juice are great for leaching out impurities from your system. When you detox, you also eliminate the good too, vitamins and minerals. Believe it or not, the grade B maple syrup is high in vitamins and minerals and it makes the drink a little more tolerable.

The first day is by far the toughest. You’ll be cranky, annoyed, irritable, lonely and tired… HANG IN THERE!!! The next day you’ll start feeling the effects and you’ll be happy. Sometime in the afternoon, your head will start clearing out and you’ll have more energy. The third day will be even better. Every once in a while you’ll go through little irritable, foggy head phase, but that will pass.

When you are done you’ll be a little weak but in a day or two, you’ll be back and better than ever. Really just as important as doing the fast, is putting good things in your body afterwards.

Good luck!!!!

Q: sinus infection symptoms or something else?
I have no cold symptoms and have not had a cold in a very very long time. However, I have a numbness and painful sensation on the left side of the bridge of my nose and it is slightly swollen in appearance. I have gotten a headache three nights in a row, but it goes away in the daytime. Any clues?

A: sounds like it may be sinuses, probably more notacable after the dew falls. try benadrel

Q: Beer and sinus symptoms?
I know what a hangover is, and this is something completely different. I drink plenty of water and have a more than healthy diet. I take precautions before a night out and these headaches are different from the usual throbbing headaches produced from an evening of partying. They seem to be directly sinus related, which is a dull, congested type of pain behind my forehead and nose. Sometimes I will drink just a few beers and wake up early with these symptoms. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if I am possibly allergic to some specific ingredient? Trust me, I know what a hangover is and this is very different and specific.

A: Get checked for grain allergies.

I cannot drink cheap beers, I am allergic to most grains. for the most part, I don’t drink beer at all, I drink wine because of that.

Q: She has sinus like symptoms and the back of her throat is swollen and shes coughing can someone help?
My 15 year old niece hates doctors so we try and refrain from using them if we don’t have to but if i can’t figure out whats wrong with her i have to take her…..so i would appreciate it if anyone could help….

A: does she have any phlegm?
If so, what color?

Q: Natural remedies for sinus cold symptoms?
Does anyone know of natural cures, or aids for sinus congestion, and pressure? I feel miserable!

A: One day to new year and you feeling miserable? We cant have that.

therbal and natural remedies.
Below are a few to consider:

a) Ground Ivy: The leaves of this sinus infection herb can dry out the bronchi and sinuses when used in an infusion or tincture.

b) Goldenseal: The root of the goldenseal plant is a powerful astringent and coolant, which comes in a powder capsule form. Take one or two 200 mg capsules or create a tincture, where 1 ml is taken for three times per day.

c) Bayberry: Bayberry bark is known to stimulate the circulatory system and also possesses warming properties that helps with nasal discharge, pain, and sinus tenderness. The powder can be used as snuff, or used to create a tincture. Add 5ml of tincture to 20ml of emulsifying ointment to make a substance that can be used for sinus massage.

d) Long Pepper: It is the fruit of this herb that is useful in treating sinus headaches and infection brought on by allergies. You may use the fruit to create a milk infusion or choose the capsule form (1-2 200mg powder capsule per dose).

e) Colloidal Silver: Sinus infections respond to this safe and non-toxic approach that has been known to treat more than 500 illnesses caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi.

f) Apple Cider Vinegar: An apple cider vinegar sinus infection treatment can be used to thin out mucous. You should add the vinegar to large glasses of water and drink throughout the day.

g) Oregano: The wild oil of oregano can be used as an effective sinus infection treatment that possesses powerful anti-bacterial properties. The capsule form is considered best when taking two every 3-4 hours

h) Do saltwater nasal irrigation to clear nasal passages. Hot foot baths and alternating hot and cold compresses over the sinuses help symptoms. If you smoke, seek help to stop. Avoid exposure to secondhand smoke and excessively cold or dry air.

i) To improve breathing and fight infections, inhale steamed vapors of the essential oils of camphor, eucalyptus, lavender, lemon, pine, or tea tree.

j) Useful herbs for sinusitis include Echinacea, elder flowers, eyebright, goldenrod, goldenseal, stinging nettle, wild indigo, and yarrow.

Q: How to relieve symptoms of a sinus infection?
I have snot coming out of every hole in my face and my head feels groggy, and im coughing as well.

What can i do to help this along?

A: You should try to get an antibiotic from a doctor – it will knock it right out.

I get chronic sinus infections… I can’t afford antibiotics constantly, so I take Aleve Cold and Sinus. It is a WONDER drug and it helps me so much. It doesn’t get rid of the congestion all of the time, but it works great with my headaches and helps me breathe a little better.

Other than that, heat will work well. Drink hot drinks, eat soup, take a long bath or hot shower, or sit in the steam for a while. Or keep a hot compress to your head. Even sitting under a heat lamp (like at a tanning bed) will help it a lot.

There are also nasal cleansing devices you can get… here’s one:

http://www.healingdaily.com/exercise/neti-pot.htm

Although I’ve used it and doesn’t help me all that much, I’ve heard from others without chronic problems that it does help them.

Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

Q: No symptoms of sinus infection, no snot coming out of nose?
However, my nose feels as if it was blocked and no matter how much I flare my nostrils I still get the same amount of air inside because of this.

What do I have?

A: Possibly a deviated septum where the middle of your nose cartilage is off center. Ask your MD to look at it

Q: How do you know if you have a sinus headace? what are symptoms?
4 days ago i had a cold. ever since ive been feeling like my eyes are going to pop out, like pressure but more like they are being stretched out. My temples hurt and i feel sort of dizzy. I also have a headace. is this sinus problems or something more serious?

A: One easy way to tell if your sinuses are inflamed/infected is to tap around your face (over where your sinuses cavities are located – http://www.webhealthguides.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/sinus-infection-medicine.jpg). If you can feel pain in your sinuses just from the tapping, then you have a problem with your sinuses.

Q: Sinus Infection Symptoms Causing my CHeeks to Feel Kinda WEird?
Been feeling weird since Friday. Could not go to the doc today. Wanna call him and ask him about my symptoms tommorow. Since Friday night my left side of my face has felt kinda”tight” and “pulling”, and it comes and goes. The nostril on that side of my face kinda hurts and seem infected. I have no other symptoms and do not have a cold or mucus. Can this be from my sinuses in my face? I have heard sometimes sinus problems in the facial area can cause numb/tingly/tight/pulling etc. Anyone know?

A: Hi there, sounds to me you have sinusitis.Sinusitis simply means your sinuses are infected or inflamed. You have four main areas in your face where sinuses (hollow air pockets) in your face, they are,
Frontal sinuses over the eyes in the brow area
Maxillary sinuses inside each cheekbone
Ethmoid sinuses just behind the bridge of the nose and between the eyes
Sphenoid sinuses behind the ethmoids in the upper region of the nose and behind the eyes.

There are lots of ways to treat this problem, from home remedies such as inhaling steam, to vaporising eucalyptus. But i would suggest you see your Doctor ASAP for decongestants etc before it becomes painfull.

Q: Sinus infection what was your symptoms?
Sinus infection what was all your symptoms?
Sinus infection what was your symptoms?
I currently have a sinus infection but experiencing a lot of different symptoms and was worried if this is normal.

what was your symptoms????

please don’t just Google this, i want to know peoples PERSONAL experiences with this infection.

thanks for your help.
xx

A: I can only speak for my son. His symptoms were
a feeling of pressure
in the facial area,
hurt to move eyeballs,
pain when bending over,
soreness when chewing (felt like sore upper teeth/molars)
nose not stuffy but there was green and yellow discharge,
fever and aches and headache caused by fever,
loss of appetite and tiredness,
swollen glands in neck.

I feel sorry for you! Take your antibiotics and don’t stop when you feel better– take ALL the antibiotics. Drink lots of warm liquids. Take hot steamy showers. Also a mucus thinner (such as guaifinisen), and ibuprofin for the pain and fever

Get well soon

Q: what are the symptoms of a sinus infection?
well my mom has a sinus infection and she wants to no the symptoms please help

A: The symptoms of a sinus infection are usually a headache, and/or pressure in the area of the eyes, nose, side of the head, or the cheek area. It is caused by inflammation in the sinus area and nasal passages. Sometimes, there may also be fever, bad breath, and you seem like you have a bad smell coming from inside your sinuses.
Often sinus infections can also be a symptom of dental abscess.
Hope this helps.

Q: What is the best way to relieve the symptoms of a sinus infection?

A: If it is an infection, you may need antibiotics.
To help with pain, you can try using a decongestant, if you are able to take them. Also heat on 20 minutes, then ice (cold pak) 20 minutes then heat again for 20 minutes may help. I sometimes put heat on the front of my head while I have ice on the back of my head, and then after 20 minutes reverse, this actually works to help with the pain for me.

Q: Is it possible to have a sinus infection without symptoms?

A: In mild and early cases , yes. But what you call infection may not be infection unless you have fever and pain and tenderness over the sinuses. Moreover you may be having allergic rhinitis, which you think as sinusitis.

Q: Is it possible to have a sinus infection without any symptoms of a cold or illness?
I have had a headache that has last two day now. Odd for me as i rarely get headaches…they are very bothersome…..

I have no runny or stuffy nose, cough but i have a lot of pressure in the bridge of my nose between my eyes….?

Just wondering of others opinions….
i know go see a doctor…affordable healthcare is not so easy to come by these days………

A: yes i know someone that was dizzy when he woke up and throwing up went to see a doctor it was a sinus infection

Q: Can tonsillitis and then a sinus infection be symptoms of an std?

A: No. Tonsillitis is usually caused by a bacteria infection not STD’s and a sinus infection is due to allergies as well as a bacteria infection. Still no STD’s can cause either of those.
Please note that STD means Sexually Transmitted Disease. So Unless your gonna shoot something up your nose or down your throat (YUCK!) then the possibilties are null.

Q: What exactly are the symptoms of a sinus infection?
I was just curious………….

A: You can have a frontal headache, facial pain, a fever or feel congested.

For more information about: sinus headache symptoms visit the migraine headache site MyBrainPain.com today.

Q: sinus headache?
I have had a horrible headache off and on for about 3 weeks which would start when I would cough or strain in any way. The headache stayed for two days in which I tried imitrex (I have had migraines for 3 years now), heat, ice and advil. I went to the walk in clinic and they sent me to the er for test in which they did a ct scan which showed all of the sinus cavities inflammed i guess. the doctor mentioned something about a sinus cavity located deep inside your head was causing me pain. I was in the worse pain ever and i havehad migrianes and kidney stones. he gave amoxicillan, steriod pack and percocet for pain. I have had no other sinus symptoms besides pain and pressure like drainge, cough, or ear and throat pain like I usally experience with a sinus infection. Is this a normal sinus headache? WIll I experience drainage after the pressure goes away? My biggest question is what are the chances I will have this again?

A: I would try a saline nasal rinse (not a spray.) A full warm water saline rinse goes in one nostril and out the other. It draws out all the gunk and shrinks the tissue (like swimming in the ocean). The buffered salt doesn’t ’sting’ as much as plain salt water. You can use a new method like Nasopure, or the vintage, Netipot.

Q: Sinus/pressure headache & sore throat with no other symptoms?
For three days I’ve had a sinus headache, like the one you get when you have a fever and if you move your head too quickly it aches, and a slightly sore throat that feels kind of tight but I’ve felt fine otherwise and I am fine doing my daily routine and such, unless I move my head too quickly lol. I haven’t been tired or had a blocked/runny nose or any other symptoms.

What is this supposed to be? Is it a cold, or allergies or what?
Btw I don’t have health insurance yet, I’m not going to the doctor lol

A: allergy or sinus infection. See your Dr.

Q: what are the symptoms of a sinus headache?
does one also make the neck tired and achy too?

A: An overview of sinus headaches, which are associated with a deep and constant pain in the cheekbones, forehead, or bridge of the nose.It could also move to the neck, as stiffness.

Q: what symptoms do u personally get when you have a sinus headache?
Not infection just headache

A: Pain in the forehead & sinus pain. Temples ache & upper teeth hurt. Sinus headaches are the worst!

Q: Are these symptoms of a sinus headache or something else..? Help?
So basically..i haven’t been feeling too well over the last couple of days.
the symptoms haven’t really been horrible to the point where they are interfering with my life..but still, it’s annoying.

these are my symptoms..

-pain when i bend down around the “T-zone”… [right under my eyes, bridge of my nose..etc]
- i wear glasses that really need to be adjusted and they’re starting to bother me.
- for the last two days, i’ve woken up HOT as hell. seriously.. i’m waking up and i’m literally like practically sweating. i don’t have an air conditioner in my room.. and summer’s pretty much over, so if i do get an AC, it won’t be till like next summer. it got so bad i had to go in my living room to sleep this morning in the AC.
- a slight headache.
- just feeling drowsy/tired.

i’m only 17 so i really don’t know what’s causing this. i am expecting my period soon so maybe it has something to do with that..i really don’t know.

help? please & thank you!
my symptoms aren’t bad enought to go to the doctor…[well, not yet at least]..so should i take like 2 Tylenols for sinus relief?

A: It sounds like sinusitis, Ive had it a million times and if it is interfering with your life its serious enough for a doctor and antibiotics. The sweating your talking about during the night and waking up hot is a fever. Take your temperature as well, but go to the doctor. Over the counter medication are for mild symptoms not fever. If your symptoms do not dissipate after three days as in cold and flu, you need a doctor.

Q: Help! I’ve had a terrible headache for 2 days. No sinus symptoms, but it is worse when I bend over?

A: Sounds like a migraine, my mom gets them and it sometimes takes a week for them to go away entirely. You can try exedrine, its a mixture of aspirin, tylenol and caffeine, and is made specifically for migraines. If it doesn’t go away soon and since you have never had any problems like this before, I suggest you go to the doctor just in case.

Q: Whats the symptoms of a sinus pressure headache?
Some body suggested that i might have this so yeah…
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuznU.4rpE0LFLibNA4mo7Xsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20090806044540AAUxirk please look at this link befor answering, it’s me asking this q

A: It could be, try taking Claritin and see if it helps. Another way to determine this is to bend forward, does it get worse ? feel like the front of your face is coming off ? that’s a definite sign. It could just be due to allergies, and the Claritin or like OTC meds will help.

Q: Sinus headache over right eye with these symptoms….?
My right nasal cavity feels like someone poured pepper up my nose, no drainage, just a little stopped up. Pounding headache over and behind my right eye that goes down into the back of my neck. I get these every other week and these last for 2-3 days. I have taken Aleve, Excedrin Sinus Headache and Excedrin Migraine and they don’t phase it. I’m ready to beat my head against at wall! Anyone else get these? It’s only on my right side and I know it’s something screwed up in my sinus cavity because my upper right nostril hurts then I can touch areas on my eyebrow and side of my jaw and outer ear that are sore but feel better when I press hard on them. This affect the back of my neck. I’m going to the doctor as soon as my medical insurance kicks in at my new job but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone else has this and what they do to relieve the pain!!!!

A: This could be a migraine. People often mistake a migraine for sinus problems. Sometimes sinus problems trigger migraines. When do these occur? Do you get them after sleeping late, gettin up too early in the morning, eating certain foods, exposure to chemicals, dehydration. etc. It will help the doctor make the diagnosis if you keep a log of youir activities to see if anything triggers the headache.

Q: Does my continuous headache/head pressure sound like a sinus headache/infection?
I have been having headaches/head pain for the past 3 months. I have been to several doctors and had a brain MRI, but none have been able to help me. After telling a couple friends about my headaches, they have suggested it could be sinus related, but I wanted to ask others who have sinus headaches. Here are my symptoms:
Left side temporal headache/head PRESSURE pain. Started out as severe and shooting pain for 2 weeks, then became dull and throbbing. Sometimes feels like its under my eye/behind my eye and on the side of my nose, sometimes feels like its radiating from the back of my head/neck. The pain is there almost EVERY single day but has left for maybe 2 days at a time at the most and comes and goes throughout the day. Also, I have been having muscle twitches under my left eye for the past 3 weeks. The only treatment I have had is nasal spray which does have an effect. I haven’t been sick, but I do have a lot of drainage/mucous in the back of my throat & occassional sore throat.
Sorry it is supposed to say the nasal spray does ‘not’ have an effect.
ALSO – I forgot to add that the pain increases with sneezing/coughing/straining and leaning over.

A: It seems more likely that you are experiencing a
problem with your vision, do you wear glasses? If you do you may need to see your optometrist, if not you need to see an optometrist. Thank God, your MRI was negative for problems. Generally radiography test like x-rays and cat scans and MRI’s can also show any type of sinus abnormality. However your description appears to be more related to the optic area. Check with an optometrist, make sure you tell them how long you’ve experienced these symptoms. If it is sinus related try Benadryl 25mgs. and see if there’s any relief. Generally Benadryl (diphehydramine) can alleviate the problem with out the effects of taking a pseudophedrine medication like Sudafed. (if medicine makes you sleepy, take half the tab=12.5mgs. instead of 25mgs.)
The muscle twitching could be related to your eyes having to work harder to compensate. Most people experience this when they work on the computer for many hours without a break.

Q: Sick husband, sinus headache?
My husbands sick and I don’t know what to do.. I think it might be a sinus headache, his symptoms that I know are: fatigue, pressure in the nasal thingy like he can’t breath and he feels congested.. and a fever. He can barely move though and he seems like he’s really sore.

(my husband, never gets sick- ever.)

I tried to make him some chicken noodle soup but he won’t eat. Is there anything I should do or should get him from the store to help?? :-/ I’m worried.
ps. he won’t let me set him up with a doctors appt, or call a nurse because he’s stubborn. ..>.<

A: Treatments and drugs

If you’re diagnosed with sinusitis, your doctor may recommend antibiotics. Be sure to finish the entire course of medication you are prescribed- even if your signs and symptoms disappear before all the pills or capsules are gone. This is the only way to eradicate the germs causing the infection. If the sinusitis is related to inflammation or allergies, your doctor may prescribe corticosteroid nasal sprays or pills.

As the sinus infection clears up, the sinus headaches should disappear. In the meantime, over-the-counter pain relievers, decongestants and saline nasal spray might help you feel better. Use these products only as directed. It may help to drink plenty of fluids as well.

If a structural problem in your nasal cavity is contributing to sinusitis or sinus headaches, surgical correction may be recommended.

Q: What causes symptoms of the ear such as pressure, dry mouth, sore throat, nose congestion, dizzness, sinus headache

A: You can get any of those symptoms from an allergy. But it could also be something worse.
Here is site I found that may help you:

http://www.healthsquare.com/fgpd/fg4ch13.htm

Good luck!

Q: Why do I have a sinus headache?
Okay, now I usually suffer from allergies in spring. But I’m not having any allergy like symptoms now, but I’m suffering from a severe sinus headache. For those of you that have had them, you know the pain right in your temples and right between your eyes. Also, my nose tends to run a tiny bit. But no sneezing, itchy eyes, etc. Is there a reason I’m getting these? Is it related to the weather change or could it be sinusitis?

A: The sinuses are a large cavity, sometimes pollen and such can irritate the delicate lining inside the sinsues. This can cause swelling, and the sinuses cannot drain properly, and this can cause a headache. I get really bad sinus headaches, even though I can smell fairly well and don’t have much nasal congestion. I can feel the congestion, pressure and pain in my temples, eyes, forehead and cheekbones. I also get to deal with the drainage into my throat.
Sinusitis basically means inflammation of the sinuses. The cause can be allergic, viral, or bacterial. If you have tooth pain, pain in your cheekbones, or green or yellow mucus, then these are symptoms of a bacterial sinus infection and a doctor and antibiotics are needed.
Sometimes molds, pollens, and pollutants can become trapped inside your sinuses and can cause recurrant infllammation. I have had some doctors recommend using a Netti-pot to flush out the sinuses. If you have had ear, nose or throat surgery, then you need to ask your doctor if it is ok to use it. I cannot use this because I have had ear surgery.
The city where I live is famous for allergies, and when the mold count gets high, I can be guaranteed a headache. Allergies can cause some nasty sinus headaches, and many people don’t have any idea how bad these headaches can hurt!
Also, taking a decongestant such as Sudafed 12 hour may help, as long as it is taken with plenty of water. This is what I take, and I pop Sudafefds like candy in the spring!
Alot of the symptoms sound gross, but this will hopefully help you figure out whether or not you need to see a doctor.
Hope you feel better!

Q: Is this a sinus headache, or a mirgraine?
Last night and this morning i’ve been having this headache. It feels like a bomb was planted in the middle of my brain and is exploding, basically the pain starts in the middle and radiates around the brain. Sometimes I have to close my eyes from the pain, almost feels like I wanna throw up. My ears are plugged up (like that feeling you get in your ears at high altitudes) and when I bend over to pick something up, my head hurts even more.

Ive read that headaches that hurt more when you bend over are usually associated with sinus headaches. Since I have this symptom, and my ears are kinda plugged up, do you this it is all sinus related?

A: I know how you feel. I get bad sinus headaches that won’t go away for 2-3 days. The pain is up front, though, so I’m sure that it is caused by some kind of swollen sinus or something. If your pain is in the middle of your head, plus the throwing up deal, that sounds like what I’ve read about migrains. Good luck.

Q: Can you have a sinus headache for two months?
without having any other symptoms?

i’ve been having a headache on my right side for two months now, and just recently i’ve had a scratchy throat with congestion, my right eye is dry and will run, and the right side of my nose is stuffy at times and runny, and all the right side of my head is hurting down to my jaw.

A: Sinus infections or symptoms come from allergies.

Why do us people have to suffer from allergies????? Did God not plan on this part when creating all the beautiful things nature presents us??? Geesh…I’m not that religious, sorry.

I suffer from Sinuses which affects my asthma. Anywho,
Yes you can, but you can get it treated to decrease the time on symptoms. Take IB profin. You can take 4. My doctor tells me to take 4 of those when I get those headaches. It will help calm the pain down even the jaw pain. That’s nerves being hit from the pain receptors in your brain causing jaw pain.
Try going to the doctor to se what they can do for your allergies. That is what it is. They can subscribe you treatment to help this.

Hope I helped.

Q: What kind of headache do I have?
I have sharp 1 second pains every once in a while on top of my head, behind my right eye, on either side of my head, and I’ve also been having sinus pressure.

In addition, I’m getting heat sensations on my right jawline and on my left earlobe. I could write all this off as symptoms of sinus headache w/ stress, but I’d like to be sure, and make sure it’s nothing to worry about.

A: Sinus headaches are rare unless you have a sinus infections. Several studies have shown that 90% of what people think are sinus headaches are actually Migraine attacks.

Because a Migraine attack affects the trigeminal nerve, one branch of which runs along the sinuses, a Migraine can easily cause a feeling of pressure or pain in that area.

The sharp one-second pains you describe could be ice pick headaches.

All in all, a visit to your doctor to check out these things would be a good idea.

Good luck!
